By now I've come to accept that there are plenty of people on this site who unironically love these movies and will defend them to their dying breath. And you know what? More power to you. You like what you like, and you shouldn't let anyone else tell you otherwise. Hell, I like Valerian, so not right for me to judge you based on your film preferences.

    However...

It's come to my attention that there are JUST as many people who hate these movies. And these people I can fucks with. Y'all coming to the party. I'll crack a bottle just for you guys.

Also this thread exists because there's plenty of shitty/stupid/cringey/awful/horrible moments in these movies and this thread exists for us to talk about them.

For me, one scene I hate is in The Last Knight when Bee gets his voice box replaced. I actually like this scene - the dialogue between Izabella and Cade works and it's pretty heartfelt, until Bee talks like Siri and ruins the entire moment as well as everything before it, mainly because it's bayformers as a whole - cringey unfunny humor forced in

Alice scene in ROTF when she rapes sam. That was the very MOMENT I knew the films were taking a turn for the worse.

Actually that siri Bee scene probably can go as one of the most clever jokes any of these movies ever made in my book.

The most ridiculous moment for me was the entire submarine back flip in TLK. It's so fucking cringy and the re-used ROTF shot of Megatron hitting the sub just makes it that much worse.

Every time a bot appeared that was an offensive racial caricature or human stereotype, or at least designed to look like one. So, like a third of the bots in the films (Jazz, Mudflap and Skids, Jetfire, Wheelie, Scalpel, the wreckers, drift, cogman, and the ww1 tank bots)

Wrecking balls. The mightiest of Transformers combiners, reduced to a throw-away dong joke.

Every time Optimus prime screams "give me your face" and murders a fellow cybertronian like a deranged serial killer.

Major characters like Shockwave and Ravage being utterly wasted and depicted as complete pushovers.

Gratuitous sexualization of female characters, and an overall sleaziness in the tone of the entire franchise.

For me it's mainly just the sexual jokes and some racism here and there. Other than that, it's fine.

Really the plot holes are the only bad part for me. Even the cringiest of humor still brings me joy on a 'so bad it's good' level. Everytime I see a KFC I think of "Asian Colonel Sanders"...

    oh dear....lets see

Film 1- This is hard because I love the 1st film but….I despise the scene where Sam is looking for the glasses in his room, which is odd because it’s right along with one of my favorite scenes, which is the bots screwing around outside and failing to be ‘in disguise’ But Sam huffing and acting all panicky and fast talking it stressful to watch, I would fast-forward if it wasn’t for scenes like Ratchet falling on his ass and Optimus posing awkwardly while leaning against the house, in my mind those moments were gold and actually showed the Autobots are fun characters. Sam huffing and puffing isn’t cringy…it’s just…unwatchable.

Film 2- Balls….”Give me your face” I tell ya, the whole making Optimus overly violent reduces the shock of ‘Evil Optimus’ because if Optimus was shown not as violent and as someone who shows mercy, seeing him absolutely wreck BumbleBee would have felt more like a ‘oh damn’ moment instead of ‘we’ve seen him fight like this’ Skid and Mudflap…everything. Screw them I wanted Ironhide and Ratchet to go with Sam not them.

Film 3- Sam’s I want to matter wahhh plot. Sam’s job hunt, Sam at job. Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave becoming weaklings that suddenly can’t fight despite winning the war for Cybertron, despite Starscream kicking ass in film 1. Sam killing Starscream in what was meant to be funny...I wasn't laughing that was my Lovely Dorito you just killed.

Film 4- Obvious product placements…like obnoxiously obvious. Cringiest for me was Tessa’s “You still glad we met?” Like…when was that ever even brought up it was so out of place Shane never showed signs of regret. It was just...forced romance scene.

Film 5- The last knight being Cade, Cogman’s dialogue at times...I’m sorry but when every line was meant to be a ‘haha so funny’ line it felt forced and got old. “You’re both on my shitlist” was funny though. Hopkin’s unnecessary cussing put in for laughs. I love you Prime I’m sorry but “We can all be heroes!” line made me cringe so badly in my seat. XD Dinner on the sub…wtf.

And of course...the plot holes that make my brain hurt when I try to piece each film together.

I'd say the human super weapon that just conveniently comes out of nowhere. That just happened to be on a ship somewhere off the coast of Egypt. That defies physics and geography. That could aim because Soundwave seemed to get into everything but the GPS that would allow a weapon like that to fire at any real distance. That kills a combiner in one shot. Then completely and totally disappears from the human arsenal. All that build up in the trailers for a combiner only to have said combiner suck sand, move a few stone blocks, and then get killed by the humans with just one shot.

Although the cringe worthy humor is enough to make rewatching any of the movies a pass.

I can forgive pretty much all of TF1 honestly.

ROTF is where it really got ugly. All the farting, the humping (DOHOHO let's cut back to more dog humping and make it a DVD Easter egg!), the enemy scrotum, Simmons' junk in a thong, the deli guy.

DOTM - hmm, probably Deep Wang rubbing his thing on Sam. So unnecessary.

AOE - Romeo and Juliet clause. The dumbass secretary after Ratchet's death. Elevator chase/fight. Shane in general being an unlikable dick (I'm making out with your daughter!).

TLK - Oh GOD. Probably the moment they left for England was when the film went completely downhill. But pretty much any moment with that dumbass NASA dickhead. Hound farting on the way into the junkyard was... CRINGE. Did we forget about ROTF already?

He farted? I'm pretty sure he just got reckless and his missles fired as he transformed when he got back to the junkyard. If he did fart I guess I was too distracted by his transformation.

The way he came back to the junkyard with the cluster bombs, right after saying "I shouldn't have eaten all that Tijuana street machinery" or "been holding that one in for a while", came off to me as a fart joke. I mean I do see that he just threw the string of bombs back behind him, but it came off as a fart joke.

It was clearly a fart joke, you are right. Even if he didn't "fart" it was implied that the bomb going off was a fart joke made by hound.

The transformer with the dick gun in RotF.

Giving Shockwave an absolutely badass design but not doing much of anything with him.

Yep. It is so long. So unrelated to the story. It ruins the momentum, I am in the minority that loves the Hong Kong battle! But all the Joshua Joyce stuff on his own should've been cut. It's awful, and Stanley tucci is a great actor but in Hong Kong he needs to cut down on the "SCREAMING OF EVERYLINE, ALL THE TIME!!! ""Ohh MY GOOOOOOODDDD"

Truth be told, the "worst" moment in Fan-hated Transformers movie #1 is no dumber than the stupidest moment in Best Transformers Movie That Can Do No Wrong. It's no dumber than anything in the most revered Transformers fiction.

Robot heaven, Blenderbots, and Devastator's robot kibble are no more stupid than Frenzy gaining a new body of thin air from the Allspark, or Bee's actions toward Simmons when Seymour meets the Autobots, or when Sam's parents meet Mikaela for the first time, or Megatron etching the coordinates of the Allspark on a pair of glasses for absolutely no good reason at all.

The history of the Transformers fandom is basically fans cherry picking which stupid stuff is kosher and which ruins the brand forever. Heck, even my favorite pieces of Transformers fiction, including my favorites among the films, have their share of dumb things.

So whatever. I enjoy goofy dialogue, over-the-top action, crazy designs, dumb jokes, and absurd premises. It's okay to admit that as a fan. It's okay that a brand based on an absurd premise has movies with their share of silly stuff in it. I realized it a long time ago. I wish more fans would realize that.
