There is room for both on my shelf because of the different scale here.
Takara's has its charm with some PE upgrades.

What is the blue mark on Ginrai's right leg? It's not on his left.

I assume you're referring to the smaller Ginrai/Prime in the Original Post?
Given that this image was made before color prototypes had been made, I suspect the person adding color via Photoshop just accidentally overlooked it.

If it helps, you bringing it up brought the thread to my attention for the first time. I had read comments but didn't realize there were already concept images.

While impressively large. I have issue with the design appearing to rely on the core armor's knee for the larger combined... mega, deluxe super-beta-prostate power armor's PoA. Makes him look like a stilt walker in a parade.

I wonder if they could build a second hinge into the same area lower in the core armor's shin region that could act as the knee pivot on the larger mech.

Yes, but that is where they go in Super Ginrai mode. I'm sure they just left then there, that is, it's mistransformed, and not a case of the not being able to go to the feet.

I wonder how long it'll take for this guy to get released after Overlord comes out.

Hopefully within 2 months. I’m hoping it would be out by mid to late spring. Overlord would probably be closer to early March is my guess.

I dont think this will be released until late next fall. They have mb-07 their roadbuster i believe, that we havent heard anything about in a while, mb-09, their trailers, and g2 megatron.
Mb-06 is already a little off schedule and likely won't be out until the new year.

Hey guys, why is Fans Hobby focusing only on Primes now,I mean this will be the 4th one in a row with RID Scourge,G2 Laser Prime, then G1 Powermaster OP,and now Ginrai.I really wish they would do others besides Optimus, give us some like Starscream or even the 154th version of Bumblebee, just something to break up the monotony,am I right?

No, you're not right. For one, Ginrai and Powermaster Op are the exact same thing, MB-06 Power Baser. So even if we count Scourge as a Prime (which I don't) that's three, not four. And "in a row" means consecutively, but there have been three Monsterbots and a Transmetal 2 Megatron between those Primes. And in the future, sure, they have Godbomber coming and he's just a glorified accessory for Ginrai, and sure, trailers are coming for Laser Op and Scourge, but FansHobby is also doing a G2 tank Megatron, Overlord, and Roadbuster.

And anyway, don't discourage them from doing Primes! I really want an MP Fire Convoy.

Like other companies I think you should abandon the notion that FH is always going to follow the numerical order. The are already breaking it with Overlord before Roadbuster. Also, they have been pretty trustworthy on their schedule so this is coming in December. FH made a LOT of changes to Overlord that I suspect is going to take more time to get right like PMOP. Their Roadbuster went back to the drawing board and G2 Megatron is still in the ether. To complete PMOP, they effectively had to complete God Bomber to ensure everything worked together. Aesthetically and production wise it probably needs more development but functionally it has to have been tested because of the combined tolerances. I would suspect God Bomber along with the trailers and Overlord are the next releases in the next six months. We have seen prototypes and know the most about them. FH is going to want to keep their production schedule going and making money to buy them development time on these other characters like Roadbuster, G2 Megs and so forth that may or may not sell as well. All of their pre-business development was getting their Monsterbots and Primes out of the way. They are going to want to follow through on that just for the relief of moving on and the ability to have a stable host of reissues. I never bought Gunfighter II. Let's say a year down the road more people know about them and they package a G2 prime with the trailer and call it MB-012A and the Scourge set MB-12B like they are doing with MB-09A/B. Then comes the God Ginrai set. Things like that buy companies development time.

They are giving us characters that no one else has produced and you want a Starscream and Bumblebee to break up the monotony???

Let me clarify mikeszekely, technically their Arch Enemy is based off of a G2 Laser Prime,so I consider him a Prime-esque figure, even tho he isn't named as one.So in my honest opinion he still counts as a Prime Mold, thereby it is distinctly 4 Prime-ish releases.Sorry to disagree but I just wish we could get other figures besides those is all I'm saying.

Which BTW I am glad to hear they are doing G2 Tank Megs and G1 Roadbuster,I just hope the Tank Megs is the bigger green camo and not the small purple one. Also for Roadbuster with all the releases of him lately I really wish they will stick to his G1 Style instead of all these IDW crossover types that deviate too much from his original form.Later all.

Roadbuster, I think there's only been 2 that's been done by third parties(Fans Project and MMC). So this third Roadbuster will be a good and distinguishable option. Fans Hobby has been doing figures that other companies haven't touched, PMOP/Ginrai and Roadbuster (Not Overlord as that's MP influenced) being the only exceptions I can think of. It's good for them to do that as there is less competition with other companies. Means more money for them, which I don't mind giving them since they are doing such a knockout job. As for this figure, as great as this looks, I wonder if they'll do a black Nemesis/Nucleon repaint of this mold. I would definitely get that.

You're clarifying what I already know (I own both Archenemy and Gunfighter), and while I don't consider Scourge to be a Prime (because I actually watched RiD), I'll let you count that one. You still only have three, though; Archenemy, Gunfighter II, and Power Baser. I mean, I'll let you count Scourge as a Prime just because he used Laser Op's mold, but you can't count Powermaster Optimus and Ginrai as two because they are literally the same toy.
