So with the release of the SNES Classic and watching yet again people posting videos how you can make your very own SNES Classic using a Raspberry Pi and a case, it got me thinking. There's some pretty cool cases that people have either 3D printed, bought, modified from existing product, etc. But how about sticking a Raspberry Pi inside a Transformer? I mean, the little computers are pretty small. And there's a lot of hollow Transformers out there.

Can anyone think of an existing Transformer toy that has enough empty space inside, without going up to Fort Max levels, that could fit a Raspberry Pi computer? (Approximately 85mm × 56mm × 14.8mm not including the bits that are supposed to stick out of the case.)

I was thinking maybe a Blaster or a Soundwave. That way it's also kind of keeping in the theme of the character as well.

MP Soundwave too small, his entire chest is maybe 65 x 45 x 35 millimeters. Maybe G1 Blaster or one of the TR Leader boomboxes would fit it?

I thought about doing something like this when I made the bot in my sig. But not until I was already pretty far through the design.

What about G1 Blaster? I never had him myself but I believe he was fairly large (and the alt mode fits the theme).

So the machine is 87.1 × 58.5 × 18.8 (millimeters). I wonder if Metroplex would be large enough for installation. If R-Pi was as small as G1 Mindwipe's bat-chest.
As for G1 Blaster, he's not only got room, he was originally designed to be an electronic toy. (Speaking of which, I wish I had the means to get my MicroChange red Blaster working.) Before conversion into a Transformer, his back had enough space for batteries (though his 2 AAs went in one of the legs), and his legs carried working speakers. The red knob next to his cassette door was a black gear-toothed dial that turned a tuning dial on the AM radio module/cassette in his chest. (A dang shame there was no FM radio module.)

This idea is cool. I took a ruler to my collection and here are a few who might work. The following are all G1 versions. Ultra Magnus's robot mode could fit it(although you probably would need to cut up the Prime cab to make it work.). Optimus Prime's trailer would fit it. Rodimus Primes trailer camper thing could fit it too. Power Master Prime is big enough but youd need to do a lot of customizing. Metroplex is an odd shape. The leg is big enough to squeeze it in but no where else really. Trypticon and Scorponok are big enough. Im guessing Fort Max is too but I do not have one.
