Ordered, first time I have ordered a figure off of HTS. Twinferno will have a partner! Still need to find Repugnus!

Adding Lord Zarak in there was a big bonus as well! Big fan of Scorponok even though most likely the biggest version of him I will ever own is Iron Factory Lord Scorpion.

 

Well that was a bananas collecting experience.

I was driving in to work. Completely forgot NYCC was happening, had no idea a Hasbro panel was today. But I'm subscribed to the Hasbrotoyshop "in-stock" thread. So at one point I (irresponsibly, I know) checked my email at a stoplight, and saw "Grotusque is in stock."

Wait, huh? Who?

So I pulled over, quickly added it to my cart and scrambled to order it, sight unseen, having no idea the thing even existed minutes before (an experience shared by many on this board, I'm sure). Then after ordering it, I went and actually looked at the damn figure. Most spontaneous, surprise purchase I've had in a while.

The figure, meanwhile, lives up to his name, he's pretty ugly. But hey, he completes a set (I'm personally fine with Repugnus being the pint-sized sidekick of the team, especially since he's a bug-monster). Cool.

Now where's my Carnivac repaint of Wolfwire, Hasbro?

Nice Scorponok TM too but I wish it had a proper body.

Once again, I find myself sad with the dissolution of the Club - we'd know for sure what retools are sitting around out there from these molds in the next year and get some of the more obvious repaints

 

Maybe the Decepticon sigil is because Scorponok is controlling Grotusque? He's certainly strong willed enough...

 

Yeah, I really wish they had gone for a little more Marvel accurate Scorponok head. Yellow face instead of silver, which I can paint if need be, but nothing can be done about that ugly ass Zarak head...

can't get passed the first order screen. nothing happens.

occasionally getting an insufficient inventory screen, then back to the first page of checkout, click the "next" button, nothing happens.
tried in Chrome and Safari... argh.

 

This was certainly an unexpected surprise. He looks neat though so I may get him one day. Makes me wish we've gotten a Deluxe Repugnus figure now though. Though Takara could find a way to give us one.

I miss the Club as well, for the most part. Though there are certainly aspects of it I don't miss.

Also, reading back a few posts, it looks like Grotusque is still an Autobot. He has an Autobot symbol on his shoulder. Looks like it was just the bio card that was mis-printed.

Unfortunately, those of us who ordered early did so fast without even considering a coupon because in the past, they've never worked on stuff like this. Ah well. It's only a few bucks.

 

Good grief, out of stock already? I had the add to cart and got the "Insufficient stock" error, I hit refresh and it took the button away and changed to out of stock.

The one day this week I was able to sleep in too.

 

Yeah.......I don't like it. That Beast mold looks crappy and the legs in bot mode look silly as well.

What's even more disappointing it that they're teasing us with that "Lord Zarrak" as Scorponok, instead of actually making a Voyager or Leader Class Scorponok!
