Sad to hear its so hard to transform. I was looking at this one pretty hard. I already have Downbeat, but I think I'll just wait for another top 3P to do him.

Man, that looks soooo good. Dammit. Means I'm gonna have to transform him again. :)

Its a challenge but not a bear to transform. The tabbing is the hardest part. I'd like some Martini logos. Otherwise I really like him mostly for car mode, the die cast and paint are really nice.

The only thing that I truly don't like about him is, the tab for his shoulder cannon. I'm afraid over time, the metal tab is going to wear the hole out on the cannon.

Excellent post and video. I found it to be very informative and helpful. Thank you sir! Well done. I still haven't decided which one I want, but your video had a lot of interesting points and observations.

Installed the visor upgrade! Really looks amazing.

And as a counterpoint to my expressed frustration with his transformation to alt-mode, he's right back in there. :p

So I just got mine today. Jimminy Cricket he is a hot mess. I love his aesthetic but man.... It seems that Toyworld has still not learned what this mythic beast known as "clearance" is. It's something I've had to deal with with every Toyworld release I've had to date, and I've had to go some modding to every Toyworld release I've had to date, but none as egregious as this. I think part of that is because the previous TW products I've had have all been a bit simpler. One could maybe call them "chug?" The TW Dinos, Primorion, Constructor etc.
Coolsville is the first what I would call "MP" Toyworld release and he has a level of complexity in a small package that is beyond that which TW have done in the past. Evilstar might be an exception but I haven't messed with him yet so I can't comment.
Anyway with previous releases it was easy enough to see where binding and clearance issues where due to their simpler design, but Coolsville presents a bit more of a challenge...

Having said that I am 95% about his look, which is just as well as it's his one savings grace. Mechanically he's all over the place. I was quite pleased to get him 80% transformed without instructions until the dreaded middle section where you have to bring the back and front halves together. Oddly enough the top and bottom halves of him are pretty intuitive. It's the junk in the middle that connects them that causes the issues. Even with instructions it's really not really clear.

Like most people I had issues when it comes to the side doors and those tabs that "align" it with the front half of the vehicle. A feature borrowed from MP Prowl but just like everyone else I found them more a hindrance than a help. This is the point where I busted out the craft knife as trimming pieces on Toyworld products to make them mate and clear properly is unfortunately not an unknown thing to me.

I had tried to merely pare it down but in the end it seemed like a lost cause so I just chopped the things off all together. It doesn't affect the stability of the figure and actually allows you to get the doors closed to some degree of "flushness".
With that out of the way he's pretty much 95% of the way there.

I do think it a bit problematic to get the silver frame that comprises his lats to fold up flush such that it is parallel with the bottom of the car? Mine seems to want to be at a slight downward angle? I'm prepared to believe for the moment this is down to some error on my part that might iron itself out with future transformations. Having the little black back tabs folded under or over the hands doesn't seem to help either way. With that being said going forward now that the door pegs are gone might not be the arduous task that it has been .

I'm sad to say I can't really recommend him as a toy, and should only be purchased if the person is 100% sold on his aesthetic and is willing to deal with some complex do-hickery and is willing to chop off a few tabs.

EDIT: I just noticed that without the 2 offending door tabs you can get the car roof more flush against his back in 'bot mode. Win-Win.

Wait what? they are? I swear if they fix some of his issues and give him a new head.... (they won't).
I would be a bit miffed.

Yeah Bots and Bits announced it on FB . Apparently Zeta won some court case and now owns the designs for Jazz, the Seekers and those ToyWorld orange base pieces they include with all their releases, as well as the combiners.
This seems like a really odd choice to re-release Jazz though. I never got the feeling that the TW release was hugely successful - it's still available at most stores even now. Unless Zeta go back to the drawing board and do some major changes to the design, whats the point? Will they be trying to make retailers pull their stock of Coolsville and replace with Zeta's identical version? I would assume most stores will just decline to stock this, unless they've run out of Coolsville and want a re-stock.
Seekers are a much bigger draw for them but even then, they need to get them out pretty quick. With MP-11 and multiple KO's of that mould, plus Maketoys Howling Meteor due to drop any day now, yet another Seeker option could struggle to sell, the longer it takes to release.

Personally I just want to know who's going to release a Megatron to go with my Primorion? I suspect the answer is "no-one" but I still cling to hope.

    THIS.
I suspect the answer will be Fanshobby with their G2 Megs, but to me Primorion is G1.5/G2 Marvel Comics Prime. Just need to cross my fingers that the scale will work out.

Hmmn, not familiar with that one. Have we seen any pics or hints at the design yet? ...Doesn't look like it.
I'm cautiously curious but to work it needs a couple of things.
1 - Has to be tall enough to scale with Primorian (he's noticeably taller than MP-10 and other MP's)
2 - I need it to be in a recognisable Megatron deco (ie: not the horrifying G2 green and purple). That means silver, maybe grey or I could settle for a black deco if I absolutely had to. But the green and purple is just e=terrible.
I can dig the tank mode, as its meant to be a different version of Meg's so doesn't have to be gun, but size and deco will be the make or break for me.

Then you are going to be disappointed as there is no chance in a million years they're going to do G2 megs and NOT do green/purple. That is THE G2 Megs colours. What even...

Oh yeah, I get that. Wasn't suggesting they'd skip the horrible green/purple look.
But repaints are possible if it's successful.
Look at TFC Toys ST Commander Prime - he's coming in a G1 deco and a GI Joe inspired camo/army green TFC Toys S.T. Commander (not Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime)
It's really common for characters to be re-done in the traditional G1 colour scheme, even if it's not canon. Silver Tank Megatron has appeared in enough media and designs to be a very popular idea.
It's possible enough for me to have a little bit of hope. If it doesn't happen, then Ill just skip the figure, no harm no foul.
