HOLY MOLY TFC you have been busy. I hope they choose some good colors for this guy.

 

Oh, I know, but I still love how it looks. That's why I'm glad TFC is finally doing the design. I echo a previous sentiment that I'm not big on the sideways leg guns nor the backpack, but overall, it seems minor in the grand scheme of things (especially when your options for a Rolling Thunder Optimus are this or Xovergen's one).

That's my one real worry with this, because TFC have been notoriously bad with colours in the past. If they nail the colours (and the QC) on this guy, he'll be a fantastic piece.

Also, seeing that you can remove parts or add them to armour him up or just sort of pick and choose a design is really cool. I just hope he's not too much of a partsformer for vehicle mode. Hopefully he can transform with everything attached.

 

Already looks better than the Xovergen Patriot lads. And I say that as a fan of those figures.

 

This is the kind of creativity I love to see come out of the third party boys.

I hope this sells well, would live to see Megatron as Destro's Dominator (another Joe TF crossover design don by don fig).

 

This please. No interest in some random green truck robot. But as a Prime, in a good size (MP-10ish) this is intriguing.

 

...hmm, I wonder if the 3 different logo color bars indicate 3 different color variants for this figure? Anyone else notice that? As they almost perfectly sync up with the previous xovergen color released versions as well.
Top could indicate an ultra magnus version perhaps.
Second is the military green version like Xovergen released previously.
Third would indicate the standard Optimus Prime colors like Xovergen had also released.
But I could be reaching, who knows. 3rd Party are hard to guess what they do anymore.

I have to say however, that as I would NEVER have expected anyone to try remaking this figure given how much; basicly everyone; hated the previous version of this Xovergen had released; so this getting a new release really suprised me.

Well I already have the rubbish version - but i'd be mildly interested.

I'm leaning more towards wanting a Dragon Wagon Optimus though - even a Machine Boy Onslaught with a new head would do.

 

I think its cool that they decided to go with a god ginrai homage.

 

I will def have to buy a spare one of these an modify it as a gift for my old TF RPG buddy. MANY years back we were playing a MARVEL RPG rules TF game and he had actually created this custom bot using a heavy recolored version of this bots old lineart for his custom TransFormer character. I cant wait to make this an suprise him, as he nolonger follows TFs.

Print it. Why not? This is awesome. Can we get megatron as a battleship? Or Bumblebee as one of those silly WWI motorcycles with artillery cannons on them? If Maketoys can reenvision the Transformers Universe as high speed cybertronian designs in cross dimensions then surely TFC can do Transformers in a more militarized fashion.

 

Very excited about this, never been a GI Joe fan but loved Don''s design. Also love Prime toys with supermodes so this is ticking a lot of boxes for me.
Would love to see some Dianaut compatability as others have suggested and a retool of the cab section into Pyro too.
I've also seen people suggest Thunderclash for a redeco, I'd go for that over Magnus and I'm a Magnus fan boy.

Oh and instead of the inevitable Nemesis Prime repaint how about doing it in War Machine colours.

I'm really happy to see that without all the addon trailer armour that he looks more like the original lineart. Having said that I also love that he has a tonne of addon armour. Kinda reminds me of this guy. Especially the big robo hands.

 

The hands are the only negative to me. I would rather the semi articulated hands like the Maketoys figures or the option to replace them with either or.

 

Ugghhh, why won't they take pictures next to other figures?
