He went to the courthouse on Cybertron to get a name change. Quintessa was the only clerk there and he didn't realize he couldn't pay the fee until after he already started the process. So he was forced to work for her.

I really enjoyed this one. Much more than Age of Extinction which I think is the worst of the series.

    Pros: Good action
The human scenes weren't obnoxious for once and I actually liked the characters.
    Quintessa was cool
    Megatron's awesome design

    Cons: Way too long
Way to fast. I felt exhausted after finishing it. Take a break once in a while.
Optimus limited screen time. Big mistake. Same for Quintessa.
Literally opening with explosions in medieval times like a parody of Michael Bay movies.
Same old, same old plot, nothing new.

Finally watched it. I can't say it was much better than AOE. I liked action for the most part but there wasn't enough Transformer action throughout the movie. There was ZERO transformer character development which has been a continued problem with these movies. It just keeps focusing on the human characters which is fine except for the fact that I was under the impression I was watching transformers. The decepticons involvement was pointless and not threatening as a whole. Ok I'll stop here because I can go on.

I watched the last knight this weekend (or tried to watch it all)...... It was one of if not the worst movie I have seen in my life.

    The end.

You know I have changed my opinion a bit. I've actually started to enjoy watching this film. Idk how, but it's kinda growing on me. Maybe it's because I absolutely despised it when I first saw it. But I can find enjoyment out of some parts. Still think it's a complete and total fuck up but there are still parts to like.

Overall it's a train wreck and proves Bay needs to leave. But I can still enjoy parts. I would honestly be so interested if another director like Joss Whedon was announced as the TF7 director and see their take on it.

I am a big fan of Transformers franchise so just want this review to be short and concise.

    Spoiler Alert - It's a $200million worth piece of sh*t.

I just watched it all the way through for the first time as well the other night, and feel about the same.

Some random thoughts after watching the movie

The entire story was a disaster
Optimus is the most evil character in this franchise
Megatron comes back out of left field
Bumblebee can literally just explode and pop back to normal while other transformers lose limbs and heads and die
lack of transformation scenes was depressing
The pyramid in Egypt that was destroyed because it was a sun harvester was magically rebuilt and destroyed again minus the sun harvester this time
surprisingly minimal damage to the earth considering giant chunks of cybertron just slammed into it
Cybertron gets its 3rd make over
No one happened to notice this giant alien spaceship under water? Seemed pretty easy to find
"I am Optimus Prime" yeah we know, this IS the 5th movie..
No dinobots in the final battle? Fuck you..

Positive thoughts, CGI was cool. Cogman was awesome.

Lack of transformation scenes? Are you counting a single character or all as whole? After all, TF5 had more transformation scenes than the movies that came before.

Well got my copy today, mostly out of obligation. I thought watching it again I would find more redeeming qualities but I just can't. I wish they would just stop. Let the franchise rest for a bit. Find a credible writer, a decent director, and a producer who has a better vision. Everything doesn't have to be like Marvel but they do somethings right. Take the best aspects and move forward.

Rewatched the movie tonight on blu ray. It was my first time seeing it since June.

As I previously though, I love the first 1st act of the movie and I think the 3rd act is pretty enjoyable too( everything once Nemesis comes down). To my surprise the first act (everything till they go to London), I originally thought was about 40 minutes but it turns out it's an hour so that's great. And the final battle while not the best of the series is still fun overall.

It's the 2nd act of this movie that is dreadful. The stuff in Burton's castle was okay but the whole Da Vinci code search part of the movie is unwatchable. It commits the cardinal sin which a TF film cannot do which is sideline the Bots. Other than that, I got 2/3 of a watchable movie from a franchise that I enjoy. I've seen worst.

Also nice to see they gave the film a real credits roll on the blu ray.

Man, it's purty in 1080p. I bought the 4k set and thought nothing of it...until I put the digital copy on my Vudu account. It's a 4k digital copy (most copies for movies are HDX at best and sometimes only SD!) and now I need to get a 4k TV just long enough to see this. Dang, it should be amazing.

I also rewatched it. Just rented it, I'll buy it one day when it's in a clearence bin, but for now I just wanted to rewatch it so I could amend any misremembered bits.

Holy shit, I think it was worse than the first time. The beginning I remember liking so much was fucking awful. Just so, so much. It felt like every new scene in the first half hour was a new location and characters. The dialogue and pacing are shit, the editing and cinematography were shit. The movie was downright ugly. And it only got worse into the middle act. So much rambling, mumbling, and stupid, stupid lines. And I don't mean vulgar or offensive lines or anything, just braindead dialogue that sounds awkward and forced.

Luckily, the movie improves a lot in the third act, pacing and visuals-wise. I suppose that by then you're already assaulted enough that it feels all the more welcoming, but still. Too many worthless characters, too many plot lines, too many just pointless... things in the film.

I think that sums this movie up perfectly. I still stand by ROTF being the worst one, but it didn't feel so cluttered. None of the others did. They may have been bad at times (except the first, I think that's a genuinely good movie) but they were solid. They were tangible. TLK is just... Things stacked precariously on top of other things.

I'm more of the opposite in why I didn't like this movie.

I'm so torn with the King Arthur stuff at the beginning. It looks cool and epic and humor aside, I did find the idea of Merlin being a phony interesting. But I was worried where this was going.

The post-apocalyptic stuff had at least I think two things that I thought were neat ideas. I thought Lennox was going to be getting a good character arc as seen in the scene where he and Bumblebee meet. We didn't get anything out of that scene afterwards. So is Optimus's potential story line, "Oh we're going to see a new alien species.... Nah, just a robot lady whose background is vaguer than the Fallens'"

You know what? I think TF5 could do without Cade. Instead maybe you could of had Lennox and the Autobots working again and at least I could get behind his character more.

OK, so the real deal is when they go to England that's when my brain turned to mush.... All that history BS and then finally the last act where Cybertron is colliding. The visuals are cool and it's cool we get a unique battleground but it's all dull. The action was all stale, there was too many shots of I think military shooting and the robot moments weren't all that great. Even when Optimus delivered the sword onto the Infernocons and the Autobots trying to fight Megatron did I feel worn out.

So yeah pretty much a downhill ride for me.
