yeah i think that's it... I think people interpreted that as you'd get a dupe *only if* you already had all of them in 4*. Which, I would assume, only a very extremely small number of players do, considering Snarl was a Leaderboard event.

Not sure if on topic, but, what the hell could be the logic in having the original architects of your franchise, like Furman, still active and available and putting them to work not on movies, not on cartoons, not in comics, but on friggin mobile games? Like... Of all the platforms on which the audience would actually care for a bit of storytelling and a tad of authenticity... mobile games? Seriously? What am I missing here?!?!? Could someone explain?

They said the "2nd week" would be a 4* Dino/Pred crystal... Meaning next weekend... Some people think they meant 2 4* events. That's not what they said and not what's happening.

And they crystals will have dupes. They explained it during the stream more than once. It's the same as the events we got with Superion and Maximus. If you have 1 of the 5, you can still get a dupe of just that 1.

 

Because the only fans of the original series are those who grew up with it...and this game panders to them first and foremost. Hollywood does not. Hollywood panders to new audiences who will continue to fill theater seats far longer than g1 fans will.

And Furman's writing was/is groaningly campy and juvenile. The dialogues in this game...suck. Not even going to use a witty analogy for it...they just suck.

 

That's what Hasbro and Bay told you to say?  

I don't see how opening up to new audiences means completely disregarding what made the original beloved.

Because the movies and recent cartoons are wonderful examples of writing? No camp at all there?  

They could just keep the people that actually created Transformers, like Furman, around, as supervisors. Just ask them about the characters and concepts they created. Would that have been unreasonable?

I love looking at these guys , We get a glimps at what the toy for PREDAKING will look like . I`m not to keen on Headstrong and Tantrum sharing a body plan , but oh well at least were finally getting them . I`m super stoked about the POTP line ... Now if it will just go a head and start all ready ....lol.

 

I should have expected that you'd only take an answer that matches your own narrow view as acceptable, and anything else would be written off with a baseless blanket accusation of me being a "bayfan" as you so eloquently put it.

Btw, the only reason this game exists is because Hasbro had the popularity recharge from the movies... which I enjoy but do not hold to any higher level than the G1 cartoons I grew up with.

 

Actually, the game exists because Hasbro pulled the license from the company that was producing Transformers: Battle Tactics and gave it to SpaceAge instead. The exact situation happened when we talk about HASCON replacing BOTCON.

 

Irrelevant...if Hasbro didn't get a ton of income from the general public through the movies, they wouldn't have wasted their time and money on the development of ANY phone games, due to a perceived lack of market.

 

I come here looking to see if anyone got anything interesting out of this weekends event and find a G1 fight. Gotta love TFW....
