    Checked them both out again.
The Shoulder pads are indeed the the same thickness between both. The only difference is the slight retooling on the molding.

Something I never noticed before while inspecting these guys tonight is that the hasbro has a slightly deeper blue and much more vibrant silver used for the pin stripping.

It's really hard to attempt to capture on camera. You can kind of see it in this shot.

Yes sir, you're one of the most ardent cheerleader on this thread.

    Thus that quote is justified.

I think it's choice to follow this thread even if someones like me have been so angry at this toy, and rejoiced again, in my case, this is the most updated representation in toy of the first optimus movie design and the best one so far, even though it has issues, the chance to see another new mold it's beyond these years.

And i find this toy acceptable, i have read a LOT of the history of the Leader from Revenge Of The Fallen, and i think this is for the Takara designers the most accurate representation in robot mode of it so far, but the leader still has some nice details i wanted to see here, that's when the people complain so much about the Masterpiece version, because the line put some standars, and seeing 10 years later of new technology and seing the mpm prime not being THAT MUCH superior to the leader, it's reason to be disappointed or not so hyped.

But trust me, even at the reveal i was already satisfied with the toy, the main reason i want the mp-36 and dinobot is for the robot mode, just as this toy is for me.
But the vehicle has real issues and the robot suffers from them too, a real problem.

However, i didn't cared at first how it was done the design for the MPM, because knowing (again) the much information behind the leader, i can see why Takara made the mpm; to be clear, the leader from revenge of the fallen was from the designers stated as "The most BALANCED way to mantain accuracy in BOTH modes", basically saying that even with much more better engeenering, it was the best way to make it and having a decent alt mode with a not-so decent robot mode, and the mpm version compromisses a bit the vehicle mode becuase the main target is the robot mode, just as megatron.

Regardless, i'm excited to see more Masterpiece Movie figures, they got some special sauce for the new figures, i just want them to be more secure to make the toys, the MPM line hasn't got the enough attention or announcements so far, even in the Hascon Prime or Bee didn't had a mention, the TT designers were the only ones to say that there was a new MPM figures coming soon while the guys from Hasbro like john warren just said "mehh i want to see more", in fact, i don't know at this point if Hasbro is the one that wanted at first making those.

I'd say that the 5 bucks spent on the knife is worth it.

Once again thanks to @Jarrod and @Lukelbs for giving insights on what to butcher off the dude!

Ah, so that's why my TT doors don't "click" together as strongly as my modded Hasbro one. That was the one aspect where my Hasbro felt more secure, but I just suspected it was a tolerance variation thing. Mind you , my TT doors fit and hold totally fine, but there's just this tiny fraction more of a gap that wasn't on my Hasbro.

My hope for the toy is that they're making the necessary adjustments to the mold so it can enjoy as many releases and colors ways as the rotf mold has. If it just worked right, as designed, and the qc team sorted out their issues so only truly good copies were being shipped I think we as a fandom couldn't really ask for more. Even if that cost a few bucks extra, make it so and deliver on the potential of the design.

Felt won't scratch the paint on the grill right? Trying to figure out a way to protect it in robot mode.

Darn my SAL Tracking has not updated for 5 days after shipping. I am just anxious to see whether my copy would be one of the better ones.

Thanks for laying out your process man. Did this work on the Hasbro one you nodded and returned too? I'm going to try that method on mine soon, the krazy glue for the ear at this point should've cured.
Your Takara copy that connects well, was it modded or was that out of box?

Does anybody have a Hasbro version for cheap? Like that I can mod? I don't need a good copy, but I am 3d printing a DOTM ab section, and need a Hasbro one.
