    Why, thank you.
Looking back I made some spelling errors, and some grammatical stuff too....I'll edit it in a minute.

we really need voices like yours here

I may be a little bit too curt and blunt sometimes, so your sense of diplomacy while still getting to the point is impressive

My hats off to you sir!

Unicron done bad would make the point moot though. They already did the Quintessons injustice. (From what i heard)

    I sense...hostility? I honestly can't tell.

I never actually called for G1 designs. I did ask for the original designs to at least have some influence on the movie versions. Even if they implement some elements of the IDW designs would go a long way to make the characters more visually distinct.

That's been a big problem for me with these films. Too many of the characters look more like a tangle of broken shopping carts with a few metals plates scattered about. Most of the bots are either dark grey or black. They don't really look like anything. It's a mess when two indistinct lumps of metal tangle. Even as far back as the first film, one of the biggest complaints was how difficult it was to make out what was happening during action scenes.

Never mind the pointlessly juvenile aspects of some of the designs, such as Devastator's "wrecking balls". It's poor character design. There is a reason those G1 designs are so iconic. Unique, distinct from one another, and identifiable via silhouette - these are all traits of good creative design. I bet there's a lot of fans that would struggle to identify some Bayverse silhouettes because it's hard enough to do it while watching the actual movies. I don't think it's too much to hope for fresh designs that make it easier to actually tell the characters apart from each other.

You sound so shocked. I guess you're in the habit of believing everything you hear.

Stuff like this sometimes happens in Hollywood. They announce movies that end up never happening and sometimes they just stop bringing it up, and it fades away.

But all snarkyness aside, that's not so unusual in Hollywood, so anything can still happen.

God bless you good sir, I think we have endured a fair amount of time, and our time is coming

    High five

You're not wasting your time. They might not be listening yet, but they definitely hear us, that's why it's important we keep up the "hard reboot" talks

Exactly this! It's running on Bay's ego, "anything I film will be genius, I don't need to sit and plan this out"

Good to see we agree here, fair play to you

Yes, people are fed up now. The common moviegoer is picking up on the trend also. We definitely need to re-energize the live action TF, with people who are really passionate about Transformers and have been around from the start on board, at least in a supervisory capacity.

We need you here, still. We need your voice, even if it's just a line or two, to show you care

The speed at which media changes today, and the attention spans of consumers, they could probably reboot even sooner. Although I would agree a few years is a safe wait for a reboot

High five, and praying along with you

Me too! I think that's something we all can agree on. It is possible for everyone to be happy with a good reboot, too.

I don't think it will be unless we keep holding them accountable and making it known that we want it

They want to be the MCU. Which is at this point going for three movies a year, and probably going to pull it off. But the thing is the MCU is a universe. Phase one built to the Avengers, but not every movie after that is an Avengers movie, even if it eventually ties in at a later date. Guardians of the Galaxy is a space opera more than a superhero film, and Doctor Strange an Urban Fantasy. Both could have stood alone and worked. All Transformers movies are about alien robots that disguise themselves as cars. All have Bumblebee as the main or one of the main Transformers. They don't diversify the setting. It's a series, not a universe, and thats one of the reasons they can't copy the MCU.

What are all you people yammering about with this reboot talk. The image for the 2019 film has a giant 7 behind it, they don't teach you roman numerals anymore?

this happens a lot. If you don't like Bay, they assume you want G1. some of us don't care for either!

i am hoping for something completely new, yet still classic iconic and timeless, to re-energize the entire franchise

Either way I'll be there but I have to wonder, if the Bayverse is over why are they bothering with a spin off instead if going right to reboot?

I think that by new storyline they mean more like what the first three movies were, relatively standalone stories.

Not like this overarching narrative that was introduced in AoE.

    Well, thank you.

I used to be a real hot-head on here a long time ago,
I mean sure I can be a sarcastic prick, but I usually try to present my opinion in the most logical way I can.

I think after all if these years I could write a book about how I think the Bayformers are bad films. Lol!

My guess is that the Bumblebee movie may be the last stand.
If it succeeds more Bayverse to follow, and if it fails it's off to Reboot town.

    Wow, nailed it.
None of us was supposed to care about the 1986 movie an hour after leaving the theater, it was supposed to be a big toy advertisement, but they created a timeless animation. The difference is Passion and Care.

When they stop treating women like attractive objects to look at (including underage ones in-story,) only then can I be sure they're interested in taking this whole thing seriously.

While I hope Hasbro means REBOOT, I'm not sure that statement is a conformation yet. Here's hoping.
