That's really nice looking! Need to see more and a price first. Plus will there be more?

For those of us not intimately familiar with AT lingo, what does the DX mean? Am I going to have to rebuy this figure? Is it the same scale? What are the improvements over the first version? The first figure was disappointingly small for us Gobot fans. And the teenager face only reminded you how much it really wasn't Cy-Kill, despite all the other visual cues.

I'm torn, as I want it to be a major improvement, but I hate the idea of having wasted $50 on the first one. Gahhh!

This is a larger, more expensive, more detailed version of Bike Robo. Much like Big Machine Robo and Super GoBots toys. It is the only one announced so far, but more could come. If you are considering it, maybe wait for a few reviews to go up. It has not even up for preorder yet, so you have time.

It's probably going to run $80 when it's released in late 2019.

The DX is a shortened form of DeluXe.

The size of the toys doesn't bother me because they're similarly sized to real GoBots but I wish they'd never included those useless price-bloating stands.

What I wouldn't give for Bandai to just reissue the originals...

Yeah, I understand what DX stands for... I just didn't know what it meant in this context, i.e. what was "deluxe" about this release. Sometimes deluxe means more detail, or additional accessories,.... or a completely new scale out of left field apparently.

I'd probably be down for a super Gobot version of this. Maybe it'll scale better bot-wise with regular release Eagle :p  I'm still going to cross my fingers for a slightly less kid-like face sculpt though... or maybe they could include an additional head/face that looks meaner. I know this isn't meant to be a proper Gobot, but they'd have to be seriously dense to think that a good chunk of their customers aren't buying it for that purpose.

I think they also know the only LEGAL way to sell these toys is to make their faces show accurate to Revenge of Cronos. If they gave them GoBot heads they might be in trouble.

Be so sweet for a 3P to step in and extend this line/scale/style. I can love the machine robo faces etc. I don't need them to be Gobots. Even my Gobots didn't/don't look like the Gobots. LOL. So no worries there.

I'm stunned a 3P hasn't actually done a full gobot line, not just an occasional 3P TF repaint. Given the wide scope and breadth of 3P offerings these days, it's baffling that someone hasn't tried this in order to get out of the 3P wars that see four simultaneous releases of the same character.

Maybe Gobots/MR simply weren't as popular in china back in the day? Is there really no market for such a line? I truly think when 3P's extinguish all the easy-money MP figures, some company will give gobots a proper go.

More photos of Bike Robo DX.

The dark blue is an improvement.

As is the silver paint, head that can actually turn, built in handlebars, articulation all over..ah hell, and everything really! Haha..I see Gobot styled hand blasts too...don't think they ever did that in Revenge of Cronos, right?

Guess this is our "MP" Cykill, huh? Or at least as close as we'll ever get. I hope Eagle is next, but regardless, this is a definite buy.

Is it my imagination, or does he come with an alternate face? The pic of the DX next to the original small version looks like he's got squinty eyes and a smirky evil grin. Neither of the other pics seem to look quite like that. Either way, it's an improvement.

Until MP Gobots become a "thing", this will do nicely. Hopefully some of the others will follow at a similar scale (maybe Eagle will be the same height as Bike this time).

I had the smaller Bike Robo from this line and sold him off. He looked snappy, but the excessive parts-forming left me a little underwhelmed.

The engineering on the DX looks far better, but I'm not digging the aesthetic changes they made. Side by side, the little dude just looks cooler. Better torso sculpt. A head that doesn't make him look like a Zika baby.

Still interested, I guess? He looks like he'll be a lot more fun to mess around with.

I am betting it will be closer to $80, especially if they leave out the stands and if it only comes with the blast effects.

Looks great, I just wish I had more fondness for bike robo. Tempted to buy it just to encourage them to make more DX MR toys. A DX Tank robo would send me over the moon. I'd wish for a DX Blue Jet but I'm not even confident the regular one will ever see the light of day.

I'll get the DX version, by man, I hate how high his eyes and face are on his head. It makes it look like the top of his skull has been lopped off.

That is certainly unexpected. Seems they are embracing their inner GoBot! Comes with optional Cy-Kill faces, fists and blasters.

I wonder is making them optional pack in parts was what made it work. The toy ships with Bike Robo face and hands on it, and you have to swap them after unpacking it.
