Mine arrived! Sadly i am not happy at all!

This is my first time handling this mold and damn, what a shitty design. All those overcomplicated steps and fragile parts are gonna crumble in a few years , i guarantee that. The hip joints are giving me nightmares already. The transformation is just outright horrible and stresses the mold WAY too much. Get your shit together MMC!

That said, I got the exact same QC problems and a bonus with loose as hell thumb balljoints. I need to import some Future for issues like that, so hit me up if you can help me with that.

All things aside, he LOOKS great. He just does not FEEL great. Is he worth the money? Depends on what you want. If you want something to fiddle around, then its a definitive NO. Wait for Takara and their guaranteed Diaclone repaints.

Oh, at least his Rally Car mode looks DOPE.

It was mentioned in this review, but I don't know if it is true or not...

And if he could use the snow plow as a riot shield, that would be the icing on the cake

More or less my experience as well. Pretty, but fragile and floppy, with some odd design choices. Between this and their Mirage, I think it's the last Ocular Max fig I'll be getting.

Got mine in today and I guess I'm the odd man out because my QC issues are negligible. Thumbs are indeed loose. Right ankle was floppy; fixed with a few turns of the screw. His knees are very stiff and so to bend them without pulling the whole leg apart I have to isolate the joint a bit. Other than that, nada. This is my first ever picture post! I think I mistransformed the legs a bit but I was doing it from memory; I was too excited to bother with the instructions.

Personally I love this mold and always have. IMO by far the best looking Trailbreaker that's seen release. And I LOVE this deco. Very sharp. Vehicle mode looks great as well. Not the most fun to pose due to overall tightness but with a bit of patience he poses well. I was especially pleased that he can hold FT Soar's sword with little fuss. Quite satisfied with this purchase, I may go in on the new white one as well.

Just transformed this and can confirm the reports of looseness, floppiness, and parts falling off everywhere are not overblown. Surprised this didn't end up a pile of dust by the end.

The windows fall off. The guard rails fall off. The truck panels on the legs fall off. The black grill attachment falls off. The tiny winch on the grill attachment falls off, and gets lost forever in couch cushions. The ab crunch flops. The ankles flop, but can at least be screw tightened.

This is redundant by now but only buy this if you like it if you like it for one mode and plan to leave it this way. This is the most fragile MP level figure i've ever seen 3rd party or otherwise and i've got most of them.

Its a shame because both modes are stunning but if it disintegrates when you touch it what's the point. MMC has solidly made my skeptical list for buying anything in the future.

    ^ This, so much this.

That said, he's still sitting on my desk in robit mode, so I'm not bored looking at him yet. But just typing this out right now he is wobbling back and forth a lot because of that floppy ab crunch, and remember, dude has die-cast footsies too.

Wack production of a cool looking figure. Buyer beware.

Whatever factory MMC is using they better stop and reevaluate things before they tackle another combiner. Terraegis's tolerance problems aren't completely dealbreaking but they are so subpar and out of character. Worst of all this is a trend across almost all releases in this line.

The only problem with mine was loose ankles and that didn't bother me cause they are loose in a way it doesn't seem to affect posing.

Not to mention that the ankles can be tightened up by snugging up the ankle screws.

This is rather heart-breaking to read, man. But I appreciate the honesty. I got mine today and I'm afraid to even break the seal on the box and open it. I hear parts rattling in the box, and I dread having to discover whether it's just the packed-in accessories or what else it could be. Can't see much of the product due to that tiny window on the box. That kind of sucks if you want to display the thing MISB. It's such a shame that this thing is plagued with so many QC issues. MMC had every opportunity to correct at least the major issues on this mold before putting this yellow truck into production, but they didn't. And I find this to be rather upsetting as, to me, this is the coolest variant out of the 3 we've gotten (okay, now 4 if you count the white repaint). I bought it because I love the color scheme, and the rally truck look. The robot mode looks great as well. What sours the milk are all the QC issues. It's so frustrating! I don't know whether to keep it and display it robot mode or just sell it off??? So sealed in box it will remain until/if I decide what to do with him. Goddammit, MMC!

I can confirm that the rattling is the accessories in the box..... and that I had a similar moment of wondering if it was the looseness of the toy at first :)

It does seem as if MMC’s Ocular Max line doesn’t get nearly as much love as its Reformated line. Still, I like Diaclone stuff and that’s why I bought it.
