At least the Japanese G1 shows moved forward. New characters. New settings. Time that progresses. Continued adventures.

I thought of exactly this a while back when I was imagning what it would take to ACTUALLY do Transformers with in scale Alt modes.. like if the Autobot Cars were all deluxes, the Seekers were Voyager things like Lawnmowers and scooters and pressure washers or garden tillers would make a line of Legends class figures. Bumblebee would have to bee like a Golf Cart or a go cart or an ATV or something but you appearenty get the idea.
