Hasbro will NEVER release a Megatron that turns into a realistic looking gun in the states. Wouldn't hold out too much hope on that. There is a reason Megatron was changed to a tank, or jet, or whatever else besides a gun. They legally can't sell it.

So let me get this straight, you want the company that just filed for bankruptcy to release a figure, as an exclusive no less, that would undoubtedly cause massive amounts of controversy if it ever turned up on shelves. That's a funny joke..

The ONLY way MP-36 would see a US edition is as a BBTS or TRU.com exclusive, with extensive disclaimers, a 16+ stamp on the box, and painted on blazing orange gun barrel tips.

Has anybody compared this TRU version of MP10 compared to the previous release? Looks like the chest gap is still there...I know I helped fix mine a bit by making sure the Matrix is placed properly in the the chest (one way or the other makes a difference).

The chest gap is worse on the new release. The doors are attached in a way that doesn’t allow them to close fully.

Honestly, for the price you’re better off spending a few more bucks and getting the original release or the Takara release. This one is the worst of them all.

 

Is there any fix for this issue?

 

I prefer this one over the Takara and I have never preferred a Hasbro (in this case TRU Exclusive - whatever or however anyone wants to look at it) version over Takara as far as anything goes. My Hasbro TRU Exclusive MP 10 is magnificent. No issues whatsoever. I got this one at the TRU in my area about a couple or few weeks (can't remember) before the SDCC official release. Maybe there was a good batch or maybe I got lucky. I was nevertheless pleasently surprised and extremely happy.

 

Is there posable hands for this guy?

 

Two different ones, a set made by KFC which is of rougher quality plastic, and a pretty decent set made by Eness which resembles the kinds of hands KFC has been turning out more recently in the smooth quality of the plastic. The Eness ones I had were pretty loose compared to the KFC ones, but they definitely looked a whole lot better.

The KFC set comes with a different gun too, I believe. Both sets used to be available either on ebay or aliexpress, try searching for "MP-10 Hasbro hands" and they'll probably come up.
