I most likely won't be spending any spark to upgrade his ability. And that includes the 3* version.

 

Judging from the sample images, Sludge and Snarl are the legs, with Slug being the left arm.

I wonder if Swoop is using the same method as Divebomb for combining, he is a limb, but his wings migrate to the back of the combiner.
As if there isn't enough resentment between them already, let's make them nearly identical toys!  

I am wondering though, given the 3* rule, is anyone who failed to get a 3* Snarl never going to have this Combiner activated?
That they'll only be able to complete this combiner when Snarl is added to the general unlock pool?

 

Ya, Predaking look like mmc feral rex and Volcanicus look like tw shuraking. Look at the wing s at swoop side. Grimlock dino head facing downward chest and the combiner frog feets. All looks almost exact same.

 

They also said they were working on Volcanicus before Hasbro let them know about it. I would guess they had already started the art and it would take to long to redo it with Hasbro art.

 

They just offered a bundle with Snarl crystals this weekend, and I would expect to see more in the coming weeks.

Given the high amount of failure I and others have experienced acquiring a specific 3* unlock when purchasing these bundles, I don't want to risk purchasing any more.
Even when the name of the character is on the crystal, we still fail to get who we wanted!   

Because of this, I have set a final limit on my purchases, I will only buy Barricade crystals and only enough to get him in 3*.
When that is achieved, I will never again purchase crystal bundles.

 

I bought the mixed crystal bundle over the weekend & unlocked 3* Hun-Gurrr & 3* Divebomb which leaves me with just 1 Decepticon that I don't have: Soundwave. Also the alliance that I am in became part of the MAS family and is now MAS RED CRUSH. Thanks to the merger, I have been able to get all the 4* shards available so I completed 4* crystal # 6 & unlocked 4* Offroad. I am almost halfway complete to 4* crystal # 7.

Yeah, that was my feeling after buying a crystal pack for Soundwave within my first week of playing. Sobered me up to the realities of the purchases pretty quick.

In a way, they saved me a bunch of money by not giving me what I wanted, because success there would have probably ensured further purchases.

 

Thursday is such a weird day for this.

 

Except they won't *actually* be unleashed until next week. I have no idea why they're promoting tomorrow as some big day.

 

Because you can play them in the challenge mission. Not like anyone will have a usable one for a few weeks anyway without spark. Unless, of course, they change all spark to universal, but I won't wait around for that.

 

Many seasoned players such as myself have been hoarding crystals in anticipation of the next combiner, to glean any and all possible spark from the expected dupes.

 

I chose not to do so because I find that the spark I get from the dupes is more useful up front rather than sitting unused locked in crystals. Dinobots are so uncommon in crystals anyway that I'd be hard pressed to expect a whole lot to be obtained. All dinobots are at least 2* or higher, Grimlock is 3* or higher, and two of them so far aren't even in the general pool yet. So are you going to wait until both slog and snarl are ported over? That'll be months...they still haven't ported Primal, Drift or Kup.

Predacons on the other hand are a different story, with all of them available in premiums. So I guess if you're decepticon it's no big deal. One advantage that Cons were given over Bots, I guess. Aside from having the better looking combiner.

I'll stick with my level 9 4* superion that I get spark for from free crystals, what with all aerialbots having a 1* variant.

I'm still collecting my free crystals in preparation for Victorion.
I've got aroundabout 170 so far.
She's probably still a long way off, they won't want to be releasing another Combiner so soon after the pending release.

And I'm still trying to guess who they'll give to the Decepticons for their equivalent Combiner when that happens.
I'm thinking Menasor is the most likely possibility, given that most of his components are ingame already.
We'll still need Motormaster though, he's not ingame currently.

Random thought of the day, it looks like they're going with swordswinging Combiners.
Dinobiner and Predaking have swords, so does Victorion.
Menasor also has a sword.

 

Does anyone else wish Challenge missions were a thing that was available in-game months ago?
