any word yet on the next MPM?....... keeping fingers crossed for a Barricade or Jazz

 

Nothing officially announced yet bet every indication is that barricade is supposed to come out around March. I'll take a Jazz but I know there's a TFDream Factory version in the works that looks good as an alternate option.

Edit: I really want Ironhide or Ratchet

 

I heard that DF is making those.

But their really first figure is bonecrusher wich is scheluded for november, they are releasing their KO wreckers now

 

Designed an improvement for the orientation of his mini wings in bot mode. Cad'ed up a file and made a few sets to test. Works beautifully with the transformation into both modes.

I have 3 sets ready to go. I'm hoping to have another 10 by Friday and another 10 next week.

I designed them to swivel so that the outside of the mini wing faces outward. In addition, I removed excess plastic from the inside of the mini wing so that it could be angled by spinning on its screw.

 

Each arm consists of 2 parts connected by a screw which allows it to swivel.

Can you please photograph MPM-3 in its clamshell (open doors like how it came from the factory), and comment on your personal opinion regarding whether your struts can survive transport in the box?

One more compliment to heap onto MPM-3 itself. It's been 5+ times I've transformed it between modes, and every time it reverts to car mode, all 4 wheels make contact with solid surface without further adjustment. Everything just lines up so well with the figure

Agreed - this is an awesome figure. It makes MP Hot Rod look like crap with his no rolling wheels and inability to stand up.

 

I finally got Optimus and it's making me extremely impatient to wait for a good deal on Bumblebee. None of the Toys R Us stores around me ever even got the figure, and I've been to 6 different ones (4 of them regularly). I somehow think they will never show up, so I'm considering buying online. Perhaps I'll go with a KO since the official is in such limited supply.

 

So here are a few pics of MPM-03 with the modified parts in its clamshell. When I first received it in the mail, Bee looked like he was smashed into it, which made me worry my copy was defective.



After fiddling with it a few times, I was relieved that things tabbed in just fine for car mode.



These new parts fit perfectly and are highly durable. Now with applied pressure, they will have a slight flex but will spring back to its original shape pretty quickly. Will they "survive" the inside of the clamshell? Absolutely!



One of the great things about the redesigned part is that when closing the mini wing to be aligned with the door window for alt mode, it will register the mini wing into position thanks to that subtle tab protruding out (from the rear side) of the door window keeping it flush. It does not obstruct and is not obstructed by any other parts in both modes.

What scale is this in? Would have to get a similar scale model. It's a good idea. The older Camaros are more my style
