I really do think this is a great toy but I'm in the process of trimming away really big figures in order to make room and Phoenix has to go.

I was looking at my FT Skyfire last night (I've had it for months) and I'm still as impressed as the day I got it.

FansToys FT-10 Phoenix Jetfire (Skyfire)

I'm fine with the size but I wish the cockpit was a bit bigger so that it could house the MP-sized human figures. That's all I really want. That, and you can't really fit any tiny Transformers into the docking bay area.

 

The only real fix without making him larger overall would be then to remove the side-by-side seating and make him single seat.

 

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'd probably be okay with that though. I definitely think the jet mode could be bigger but I just don't think I really want him bigger overall. He's juuuust big enough for me. Any bigger and I might be put off. Terminus Giganticus gets a pass from me because he splits into multiple parts. Same with combiners.

 

Or they went for a much wider cockpit a la the G1 comic introduction...

 

Well, here's my thoughts on it. I think it's a fantastic figure.

 

I always wondered what happened to Skyfire. Now I see he had his own adventures lol!
