Hey gang, This was a REALLY quick, and simple, custom. I started with the Titans Return Roadburn figure as the body and swiped the head off the GDO Cliffjumper figure. I had to add a bolt with some washers and nuts for his neck, carved out the ball socket, and glued the head to the neck bolt. The head can still rotate left and right, but it is stiff. Someone had mentioned on my instagram that there is a Cliffjumper head on shapeways that fits into this figure - so that might be an option for anyone interested. I had the GDO guy and liked his head, but wanted him to be a minibot. I painted over the black with some red, using the same red on the head to tie it all together. Hope you guys like it! Hey, neat. I wonder if it wouldn't have been more effective to strip the black paint off the red plastic rather than paint over it...
Yeah, that might work as well - but my problem was that the head didn't match the red on the body, so I used the same red on the head that I used to cover the black so he would have the same shade of red across part of the body and head. I was trying to keep the custom as a quick one where I didn't have to dismantle and fully repaint the whole thing. I'm working on another custom the same time I was doing this that is more complex and fully painted, etc.
I don't understand how, but it works. Bravo. Now let's hope that HasTak gives us a Cliffjumper (It's so easy yet still we got Roadburn before)
Yeah, I'll be fine with roadburn if we eventually get the other Throttlebots (or maybe I just need to plan on making them?)
