Didn't they tease a bumblebee when they initially announced the line? I wonder what happened to that.

 

They also teased that 'zombie' Ultra Magnus last year. Hopefully we'll get an update on that before 2017 is out.

 

I dont know about that. I kind of think it must be subjective since I love Optimus and Megs alt modes. I think they're both as good as they can be.

Thunder Erebus on the other hand? I dunno about that one...the cab is sooooo tiny! Even more in hand. Like not in terms of just scale but it seems too small for the trailer imo. Detailing and paint are top notch but the size man, it's so small.

 

There's no way to make the cab proportional to the trailer without parts forming or the other modes suffering

 

A lot of people complained that the alt mode of Striker Manus looked bad. I don't think there were as many complaints about Rioter Despotron.

They couldn't have made the cab any bigger unless they made the backpack much bigger and people have already complained about the butt flap. The backpack on the Fanshobby version looks pretty big and the legs of the Perfect Effect version just hang off the back of PMOP. I'll have to see how much it bugs me when I get my shipment from The Chosen Prime tomorrow.

yeah I get that I just don't get people thinking this is a pattern in this line. I don't see what's wrong with either Megs or Optimus alt modes I think they look great. I get Thunder Manus complains despite not being able to really be otherwise, I personally love mine it's nearly perfect in fit and finish too, but Striker Manus and Rioter Despotron are close to perfect in alt mode imo. What problems did people have with these two?

Wow. That looks better than most of the official Titans Return base modes.

 

I really hope the OP colors gets released sooner rather than later. Love the look of the mold, but no interest in the black deco.

 

Just got mine in thanks to chosen Prime and not much new to add. It's a brilliantly executed, modern CHUG Powermaster Prime black repaint.

Yes, the cab is proportionately too small to the trailer, yes the resulting inner prime is tiny (roughly the size of MakeToys Trash Talk, actually).

Otherwise . . . CRAP the articulation is impressive for a bulky figure, ab crunch adds immensely, paint is great, love the red chest windows, everything tabs together. Just well executed, clean design with their gundamesque take on CHUG. The design language speaks directly to my robot toy fan soul. I love Maketoys

Small note, I didn't realize the armor-up feet are basically built in to the figure. Others may have noticed it, i probably just missed it in pictures. The "heels" of the feet unfold and have a new forward foot section that adds maybe an inch in height. The godbomber set will have the rear half/heel of the new feet

There's obvious hardpoints for that new rear heel section, plus a clip on the forearms for new hands, new hip armor, and the backpack has a buncha mounting points

 

For a figure this size and this bulky the articulation is nothing short of a miracle.

Also, I didn't know anything about Nucleon Quest other than it being an awesome name, but it sounds like it is OP with a special armour that allows him to travel through black holes, through which he can obtain Nucleon, a powerful substance. So it's not evil Prime, Nemesis or Scourge, it's straight-up OP with a leather jacket ready to kick some ass.

 

Yeah, that was how I interpreted it as well. Prime's Punisher phase, if you will.
