Tantrum from Earth Wars has great design and colors. I have hopes for hasbro for I really like to see the real figure even though i know there's a chance it'd be looking like that horrible volcanicus.

    Mine came this week.

It's a little plain (though the gold plating is nice), and it's a LITTLE small for the OS Predaking, but overall, I'm happy with my $10 purchase.
It's certainly easier to hold than the one he came with!

Yeah, it's hard to beat for $10. You could always get a second one to offset the smaller size with the OS :D  I wish they'd make G1-esque chrome plated swords for Poseidon and whichever 3P Menasor.

I hated the Felisaber figure that came with the OS 6-pack because I had no place for him in my collection. So I ended up making this. Has anyone else done this?

I've got a weird issue---the "alternate faces" kit----Fortis' doesn't seem to fit. As in, it cannot flip 180 to transform, after it's installed. At first I thought it was his chin being too long and catching, but I've determined it's the cheek-guards. I've checked and checked, and it's not like it BARELY catches and a tiny bit of sanding would fix--I'd have to start actually carving the rhino-jaw to get clearance. Has this gone un-noticed until now, or am I doing something wrong? It doesn't matter which way I install it---if I start with it "flipped" for robot mode---it cannot go back into the jaw for rhino mode. If I install it positioned for rhino mode---it will not come out of the jaw at at all.

just a thought, did you use the correct head? like accidentally switching the bull and the rhino face?

EDIT: just took a look at my Fortis and his face swivel fine. my Fortis face does not have the red chin

I thought about that and checked that too---and yeah, "yellow-chin" is the new Fortis, "red chin" is the new Bovis. (I believe the jaws are identical either way though, and it shouldn't make a difference)

    Follow-up:

    1. Comparing to the originals, part of it is that the original heads themselves never "fully" folded into the beast-jaws, they always protruded just a little bit. The new heads just make that aspect more obvious---so "getting it all the way in" never was possible.

    2. The "backs of the heads" are different as well, and seem to exert a lot more pressure on the hinge--you need to back out the screw a bit to make it loose enough to move. Much more an issue on Fortis on Bovis--on Fortis, it is very easy to tighten the screw down to the point that the face is completely locked in position, whereas it'll still move freely on the original with a screw tightened down the same amount.

So in summary---I was "misremembering" how the originals fit in beast mode, and the new ones need to have their screws not fully tightened down.

glad you got that figured out. The new faces definitely look alot better. You must have tighten the face down really tight for you to consider carving the rhino head to make it work.

Eh, I used my little tiny screwdriver like always---very skinny so hard to apply much torque with just your fingers.

I'm sorry if this has been discussed already but...

Are these guys (or some of them) being released again? BBTS has several of them listed as pre-orders with release date of next month.
