It's sad when I'm more interested in waiting for him to do his version of Titans Return than wait for the official one to come out.

Wait! Where is Frank Welker? I needs my Megatron.

With this line up of veteran voice and screen actors, it can't be bad....

Megatron was the one thing that fans loved from combiner Wars. If they'd changed voice actors it wouldn't have gone over well.

And unfortunately I fear machinima will find a way...

Oh holy crap, this is fantastic! It's actually easier to watch than the real thing. The voice acting is better too!  

 

Fans didn't "love" Megatron's voice in Combiner Wars. It was just that it happened to be the least awful part of the cartoon. Like if you'd just lost your job, got mugged on the way home to your apartment which you were then evicted from, becoming homeless... dropping the box filled with your last remaining possessions on your toe might inadvertently be the best part of your day. Doesn't mean it was a good thing.

I don't think anyone would complain if they replaced the Combiner Wars Megatron voice with an actual voice actor, especially not one most people consider the best voice actor to perform the role.

 

More like if, in the scenario you suggest, some random stranger walked up and handed you twenty bucks.

I personally loved megatron's portrayal in the series, and the voice was a big part of that. It was a fun, unique take on the character.

I've seen fan-made stop motion videos on YouTube that are better quality than this.

I just hope they release this show when the TR line is over with.

I prefer to watch TF media when I have no chance of purchasing the advertised toys!  

 

...a good director could work within their animation and voice budget limitation and still produce something great to watch; lay blame where it’s truly due instead...

But I hope there will come the time where we can have a full TF TV series of multiple seasons with this art style.
How come Disney managed to produce multiple Marvel Comics cartoon shows?

It seems that Hasbro are only gearing towards the Kid\'s market having RID, etc. Which I could understand.
But what about the viewer market that composed of those who grew up with G1 or collects CHUGs, CWs, TRs and PotPs?

Will it better if they market CWs, TRs and PotPs same way they\'re treating RID or any current cartoon show they have?
After all CHUGSs, CWs, TRs and PotPs toys are around Kid\'s age (8+ and Up) written in the packages when being sold in the stores.
And it\'s good way of introducing kids on a much a bit advanced play style after graduating from a kiddie-fied TF show.
 

 

I still think it's cool that we get Judd Nelson as Rodimus again.

 

We don't need internet stars being voice actors. We need talented people doing to job.

I'm glad they've replaced Jon Bailey. He sounds awful when trying to do a serious Optimus Prime. Would've loved for them to bring in someone else as Optimus instead of Peter Cullen though. Maybe Gary Chalk or Neil Kaplan.

Nice to see Judd Nelson reprising his role as Rodimus after Animated.

MatPat is hilariously voicing Computron. The guy who overanalyzes everything and absolutely will not stop talking. Let THAT sink in. DashieGames was formerly Menasor, so I have no idea what the case may be now. Might actually be alright if he's Trypticon: in nearly every TF medium he's been in, he's always sounded ridiculous.

 

I hope MatPat puts some semblance of effort into this.

Isn't Menasor alive and well again though? DashieGames is probably reprising his role.
