Well, according to the response from HLJ, MP40 is still a February release.
Unless he's shown in Figure King as being a December release, or until all the other sites change his release date, I'm still sticking with the February release date.

No, he just shrunk back down to Hot Rod size after Optimus took the Matrix back from him. Good riddance to Rodimus Prime!

I would say no as it is the same mold as MP28 and that was not.

Amazon sent me an email saying MP 40 is delayed. No new date was given....

 

I got the same thing. It's just back to Feb 20th, which I think was the original release date. For some reason AJ changed it to December a while back.

 

What exactly is the reason for calling this figure MP40 when the only thing different about it is the engine part for the Targetmaster? In my opinion, this one should've been MP28+ rather than MP40.

 

TakTom's numbering is actually, truly random. Technically the deco is a bizzarely faithful recreation of the colour-faded AKOM cartoon colours, but why alternate decoes of some figures get new numbers while entirely new characters who are redecoes get sub-numbering, we will never know.

Another point to add is some of us believe that TT have figured out that some collectors are able to skip a letter release like MP-14C Clampdown, but a full release like MP-26 Roadrage invokes some pretty hardcore compulsion to complete a set.

When MP-38 was announced as a full release there was a collective sign from the fandom. Not from me though. I love each release
