I like the individual Dinobots, but that combiner is just not doing it for me. The only picture of it that looked decent was it lying flat on the desk.

 

Only thing that's disappointing me is that much like early CW I can't get them all in wave 1. I already love it but I guess once someone gets a finished product and photographs it properly transformed and posed many (not all, I know) will change their tune because I've been here for a while and it's what happens with every thing they reveal.

 

for once i want to see video of some up tight fan who buy transformer toys tall hasbro people i dont like toys on display to show what toys what look like before everyone buys them in store it is not transfromed properly same with toy offical pictures of there products lets hear what hasbro and takara have say about comment in video that adults main complaint when they see your toy producat aimed at litele kids are they transfomred properly or not that is very important for display shows

3P add-on upgrade parts to the rescue.   I wonder if Takara will offer all of these guys in a single ginormous boxed gift set under the Unite Warriors label.

Also, I'm not digging the name Volcanicus at all. "Extinction" would've been better.

 

Just jumping back in XD I'm guessing that was their only way of keeping the prototype more aligned with what the design intent is supposed to be. Laying it down would keep things from moving around so much.

 

Well, this combiner looks atrocious to me... especially from the back... I understand it's a budget combiner and all, but when it looks this bad, is it really worth putting something out and hoping people buy it just because it's cheap?

 

The thing that's really killing this is that someone thought an entire Apatosaurus neck for a knee cap was a good idea and it got approved

Other than that it looks pretty cool.

The way it's designed it had to happen. Though I can't say I like it either. I would prefer if it could be removed and tabbed onto the back.

 

I guess Dinobots shouldn't combine, lol. This, along with the 3rd party Dinobots combiners, are a giant shit show. At least individual figures aren't horrible.

 

I'm in the camp that the combiner looks atrocious. They should have just left the Dinobots as non combining figures. If I had to choose I would pick the Fansproject Dinobots for their size.

 

Looks like another fiddly mess.   I\'m starting to think Hasbro should consider separate toys for combining. I kind of prefer brickformers to fiddly toys that flop around once combined...

I like it, but I'll probably leave the Dinobots as Dinobots. Luckily they're pretty good by themselves. Volcanicus is just a nice extra.

It's a resin proto of a Combiner. It could very well break under its own weight.

A plastic version will be fine.

 

If it wasn't a combiner, would many people buy them as Deluxes?

 

People here complaining about how bad the combiner works should be reminded that not only is this a prototype, but it's also mistransformed. Look close enough and you will see Sludge's neck can swivel and lay more flush against the leg mode.

 

Yes. Mostly because I forgot they were a Combiner when I first saw them and still thought they were cool.

 

Why would you have extra hands to add to the torso in the first place? Does it come with 4?

Properly transformed I think it will look ok. Insta-buy. I for one am happy it combines, I have plenty of other dinos for uncombined mode display.

 

Feet come with the Voyagers now. Each deluxe comes with a dedicated hand.
