Im seriously thinking of grabbing Legends Trypicon this weekend...

 

In this case when price is the only difference, whichever one you can get the cheapest is automatically better.

 

So does anyone have any QC issues with your Legends Trypticon? I really don't know which version is the safest bet to get . . . which keeps making me wonder if I really want to get it.

 

Yes, my Trypticons legs springs were very strong where I could literally not rotate without ridiculous excessive force. If anyone gets the same, recommend you take apart and compress the spring repeatedly with your hands, trim some off if absolutely necessary. It's really simple to do, check out some vids already on youtube.

 

Got him yesterday. Total with shipping and import duties ended up around 250 EUR (300 USD), so less than 300 EUR that I paid for Fort Max. He's actually bigger than I expected. Plastic is awful, just like all recent releases. Stickers are tiny, really thin, and badly cut - so they tend to tear. Transformation is fun and his alt modes are much better than Metroplex's and Fort Max's. He's fairly fun to pose and the play features are clever and not intrusive. Leg ratchets were really tight, but after a few movements everything is OK (really didn't feel like taking them apart). Ordered reprolabels for Full-Tilt since he's really boring in all-purple.

I'd really like a 3p Legends version of Full-Tilt and a Legends Brunt so my Sixgun, Slammer, and Scamper have some opponents.

I’ve waited this long to get one, and I was thinking of pulling the trigger but then remembered Black Friday is this week.

I still don't get why it's the same bloody toy? Aren't takara supposed to be cartoon fanboys or something? I want my black Trypticon! 

 

Takara just decided they were selling the same fig to their market. For whatever reason. Too much effort? Who knows.

When I spoke to a Hasbro rep about it she said that they had made a decision with Takara to create a single version of the figure and not separate versions per market. So I'm guessing that they didn't want a ton of unsold US Trypticon due to collecters buying the "better" one from Takara so they made them the same.

 

And now it looks like that may have become the business model, unfortunately.

 

Well fuck off then Hasbro.
