What are people's thoughts on the Boku transforming trailer for leader class Optimus prime (I found it for pre-order on TF-Direct)?

 

Even just Boku as a brand?

I've never handled the product, but that thread may give you some insight.
I don't believe I've heard of Boku before.

 

I've never heard of them either, but I saw a kit they have with nice looking light-up battle hooks, swords, shields and probs the best looking axe I've seen for Optimus prime.

 

I think Boku are a knock-off company. Their logo looks familiar. That, or it's just that it looks like the KBB logo.

 

Any reviews on this trailer? Found it for $99 on Ebay but no way I'm shelling that much out if its not a decent quality.

 

I have it on hand. Plastic quality wise is same like UFO. It come with adapter so that you can attached it to AOE cab. Color is silver (no blue line like UFO)

I just got invoiced for this from show Z! I can't wait to compare it to my ko UFO trailer. Now both my m01commander and m01nemesiscommander will have a trailer

 

That first pic made me think a Transformer themed mini golf course would be fun. Hit it between the primes and up the trailer to the hole in the back.

 

According to ShowZ, the chrome version got pushed back a month to late May. I never got the UFO version, so I absolutely gotta get this KO.

Some comparison shots. Almost 2x as heavy as the first ko. It actually has separate hinges instead of them being molded to the bar that moves. Estimated has at least 20 more parts than the ko I have. I'm in love!!

 

Well, ShowZ got the chrome version in stock a few days ago. I tried looking for a review on the chrome one but couldn't find anything, just a review on the silver painted one. From that review and from the people on here, it looks like it's built pretty good, so I decided to take a chance on the chrome version for $88. It's a few dollars less than the silver version, I don't know if ShowZ eventually raises the price on stuff, but I saw that the silver version used to be like $20 cheaper when it was first up for preorder. So I ordered it now, plus I've always needed this trailer but missed it when UFO originally made it.

When you get it can you let us know about the chrome quality? Like do you think it will peel, flake, or bubble over time? How scratch resistant is it? Does it finger print bad? Wanted to get a chrome one and clear coat it to use for nemesis commander.

So I'm selling my older ko annular trailer with a m01commander and some ko wings. Pm me if anyone is interested.

 

Just got the chrome version through the post - as nice as it is, I'd recommend it only for display, since it sure does scratch easily.

I'm also assuming some of the connections have been tweaked/have deteriorated from the UFO release, since a few of them are either too tight (the inner ring connecting to the outer ring) or too loose (the tabs connecting the trailer roof to the trailer walls).

Still, it's excellent that this got a re-release in some form - I've finally got an accurate DOTM trailer to complete my Leader Prime, and for a good price too.
