    Well I just grew up? Sometime mid g2 I stopped and my mum sold my collection (it was huge) to my cousin for £50.00....

    Yeah gutted....

    Well I was looking for an investment and started to try and get the thrilling 30 figs, but realised I hated them, they weren't transformers to my mind.

    That was until my partner came home with sun storm, and it was one of those WOW moments. It was my childhood memories upscaled to something I appreciated as an adult.

    I quickly sold off the rest of those purchases but focused on MP but quickly realised the t30 generations were awesome (Bar a few ropey voyagers) so I started there and now I find myself where it started, combiners and g1..... how my wallet hurts!

    I'm also enjoying buying lots and repairing figures to sell on, Sunday morning car boots to look for tfs, it's like I'm 8 again!

    Well in 2011 I had to move back to Puerto Rico and I sold all my transformers. I couldn't bring all the boxes to P.R. , ohh sad day. For 2 years I didn't collect. I went to a local comic con and had some $. I was working but I didn't have a lot of cash to spare. And there he was , a Boxed reissue Soundwave. He was so nice begin me to take him home and rip the box open. So I did. 6 month's later I found the dicepticon that I touhg impossible to find in P.R. a original g1 Megatron. :eek:  He had no canon but for 30 buck's, I had to get him. After that it went down hill. I got more money and some very good deals and boom, a big collection that I'm happy with. I'm so happy I stayed with my Battle Beast. Those are really bad to find. Well that's my story guys. I'm sow happy I found this website and comunity. All hail lord Megatron.

    As a kid, discovering TFs was as much as I could handle. I first started using back in '84 with the cartoon. Things got pretty serious until G2 toys began showing up on the shelves and I managed to kick the habit. Always pulled to the TF shelves over the years but stayed on the wagon until some point in 2004 when I saw this (not my picture...found it online...credit to Micro Heritage?):

    I tried hard to resist. Tried to distract myself with women and substance abuse, but then slid into a little online research and quickly discovered this (also not my picture):

    After that it was on. G1, G2, Animated, Generations, Classics etc..., Prime, and MP as that developed. At one point back around 2013 things got really bad. I was buying 6-10 new bots a week and had long since run out of room. Made the tough decision and sold all but G1, MP & Animated. Today, I only buy the newest MPs that I like and tinker with the G1s to create "perfect" loose specimens of the first couple seasons.

    In the end, I guess Transformers have never been 100% out of my mind, but a lot of "the middle" just didn't suit my tastes. All in all it's great the TF franchise has grown to the point it has, 5 action movies (didn't like 'em, but who cares?), toon after toon after toon, and a variety of toys to suit pretty much any taste.

    I left Transformers around G2, mostly due to hitting my teens and discovering girls and beer. I missed Beast Wars but came back at the tail end of Beast Machines, found the online community and have been addicted since RiD.

    I think watching all of Beast Wars/Machines back when TFArchive hosted them all really helped, and the quality of the RiD toys really grabbed me. I think I've bought at least something from every line since. Even KISS Players.

    I remember just wanting an Optimus Prime or a Transformer overall. I saw Universe Prime and my little kid me screamed in the store out of pure excitement. After that, I just felt he was perfect and didn't need anything(until I broke him like the idiot I am). When the trailer for the first movie came, I literally got back into it by going in to the stores and seeing what they had. So, I picked up Bonecrusher and Barricade and instantly said I'm just going to follow TFs from now on and nobody is going to stop me.

    10 years later and now my parents want to stop me and are trying to tell me to move on and grow up. ;-;
