Since Polygon Pictures owns all the awesome Prime/RiD character models, I'm kind of worried of how the 3D models in Cyberverse will look under a studio that primarily uses ToonBoom animation...

Don't be so quick to worry, Boulder has done their fair share of CGI work in cartoons outside of Toonboom.

Plus look at how the job application is asking for a 3D Designer, not a 3D Modeler. Chances are Boulder might not even be doing the modeling and animation themselves, it's not unusual for studios to do pre and post production but leave the core stuff to another one, it might even be a partnership with Polygon still!

It'll be great if Polygon can join too. They are so good with their 3D, you can hardly tell that RID is 3D. Transformers: Prime had extremely fast paced action sequences which are very difficult to do on a 3D setting.

They are rather busy at the moment on Godzillla: Planet Of The Monsters, which I must admit has a bigger following than a Transformers show.

Transformers is a huge contract for a relatively small studio such as Boulder.

Their mixed media work on Gumball is breathtaking. The environments have depth and several small heartfelt details.

Of course Transformers is a different sort of project but Boulder is far from incompetent and I bet they\'re pulling out all the stops to keep this contract.

I remain cautious but hopeful. The glass is always half full until it\'s definitely been tipped.

I second the motion of keeping Polygon involved. They have also proven themselves to be multitalented and I wouldn\'t be upset if they became a \"Transformers Staple\"

I would love to have this job so much, but would absolutely crack under the pressure.

I hope they get someone really talented and creative.

Software's pretty steep, $900 per seat per year.
