Except that "evergreen" line doesn't have a Grimlock. Only Starscream, Megatron, Bee and Prime. The text clearly states 4 core characters and shows the toys. No Grimlock.

These card backs are clearly from the same product line. Unless these are from a totally different evergreen line than we saw in the leak, we can still speculate these are Cyberverse. The fact that they share a design is more indicative of a universal marketing strategy where they have a single design for their characters in multiple projects at once. Which would make sense to strengthen the overall branding.

If the leaked card backing and blister front are the complete marketing, then there would no Transformers logo of any sort on here. That's not terribly likely. Clearly we are missing part of the finished packaging design.

Thanks for picture/graphic, i had not seen this. It makes things much clearer as to what these are...

4.5" inches that means Legends scale figures not legions.
"Evergreen styling/branding" that obviously means it is a generic transformer line not linked to any media specifically.

Honestly i am pleased, i hope now they dont have to redo those legion toys from generations and reveal the shield they brought out again the last few years. SS and megatron look the best, can't tell if OP and BB have elbows.

    THIS! Just ALL OF THIS!

G1 has been so overstated that I'm legit surprised people aren't sick of the letter G yet.

There has to be more variety or the brand will DIE. Keeping the desgins exactly G1 looking will kill the brand because why should parents by their kids yet another Optimus Prime that's fundimentally the same as the last Optimus Prime, and the Optimus before that, and the Optimus before that!

This seems to be working with Gundam. Look at all of the different model releases of the RX-78-2 (the very first Gundam) that there have been. They still keep making them!

UC is Gundam's G1, and it's still by far the most popular and "evergreen" era, and they still see updates and new releases of suits from that era.

All of those assumptions lack backing and lack a view into Hasbro's very history of how they handle the Transformers franchise. This material is branded TRANSFORMERS AUTHENTICS in Hasbro's internal documents, not Cyberverse, it is started as a generic figure line not as a media line and you can be SURE they would want to be clear about the fact this toyline will have mediatic backing to their own investors and retail partners. We may miss packaging design but we have seen finished retail product that use these designs we've seen Hasbro leaked documents that utilize them and both of them display a genericized TRANSFORMERS branding with no ties to anything else beyond the Evergreen initiative itself.

That is the point, this site is tagging those pictures with TRANSFORMERS CYBERVERSE in it's own news categorification as if it were likely that they are when there is no way to know, in fact, it goes against basic logic that these would be material for the next cartoon. That is beyond hasty and beyond presumptous. Slow down.

Whatever these are, I dig them. Small, simple G1 style (yet stylized,) easy to transform versions of prominent G1 characters.

I'm Generations myself, and will go with PotP over this obviously... but whatever this is, it's still really cool to me! Options at multiple price points and levels of complexity are not a bad thing.

    Ebay:
As far as I am concerned they got at least:
6 years of g1,then at least
3 more years of Beast wars, and then
2 more years for BW neo and BWII

They can just recycle those designs every ten years or so and i am happy

Throw in an occasional new guy of course , I like Windblade and Victorian and Barricade ( only movie design / character I like) but keep it 90 percent those 11 years of designs and characters .

I can say with absolute certainty that I have never heard a worse or dumber idea than this. I mean, even ignoring the idea's Geewunner nature, why in the fuck would this plan involve those dogshit Japanese "sequels" to Beast Wars? Those have nothing to do with anything!

Except they do, as they were their own shows with their own cast and new plots, they are just a valid as Masterforce and Victory.

Just because it didn't come out in your country, or you don't like doesn't mean it's any less valid a part of Transformers history and lore. Honestly they weren't that bad, but you sound pretty biased on the subject.

I'm actually pretty excited about this line. I loved the simple engineering of the RID line but I hated the aesthetic. Now we're getting RID engineering with G1 aesthetic. I really hope the cartoon is good.

Lol I don't think any of us have to worry about HasTak *not* remaking characters from all of their rich history many, many more times to come, in addition to new characters.

The number of lines they draw from will also probably increase as the movieverse, old RiD, Armada, etc. fans get older and move into the ideal age bracket for exploi... er, I mean... treating as a viable market for nostalgia driven products. :p

(And that's a good thing imo. We all have a lot to look forward to, regardless of our individual line proclivities.)

It's the entitlement of western tf fans "IF I DON'T WANT IT IT DOESN'T DESERVE TO EXIST!"
I've been waiting over ten years for that.

I REALLY hope that Grimlock is just a simplified subline, like Legends or something similar. I hope that the actual, decent, G1 version WITH ACTUAL, SEPERATE HANDS and some decent paint comes out as a Voyager class figure.

Otherwise I will simply wait for either the OSKO Wei Jiang version to come oput with fixes and/or buy the metallic repaint og the 3P FOC Grimlock coming out. Right now, the pictured version of Grimlock looks awful. What has Hasblo got against Grimlock? They manage to muck him up EVERY time they release him (Mp nonwithstanding, except for the size)

We don't have an Evergreen tag yet. That's why we are tagging them as both Cyberverse and Generations. We'll change later once we get an official confirmation. Other than Allspark, all other sites are tagging them under Cyberverse.
