That bumblebee design is really growing on me.  It is like a mix of his generations IDW early figure with a bit more of his classic youthful toon appearance.  Curious how they will do the figure of him or if they will retool that generations mold to switch the faux car hood to a faux car roof.

\"We now have confirmation that Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream and Grimlock will receive Hasbro toy treatment.\"

    Confirmation from where?

Hot Rod\'s vehicle mode reminds me of his first IDW Earth design.

Let's hope to see more characters in the actual show though, lol.

If these are indeed from the new Cyberverse show, I do not like Prime's head. It looks way too larger for his body and the placement of his antennas look odd. Bumblebee's design is the best here as at least they're trying to do something different him.

I agree about Prime but the toy box art looks better.

I love that the new standard look for the Transformers in promotional stuff is closer to the G1 designs!

Neat! I\'d like to have a moment to take back what I said about Megatron. On closer inspection I feel that the robot mode is, well, less than what I previously thought. It\'s more passable than great.

Also so I think that\'s the potp star scream design. Pretty sure that\'s what it looked like.

I like these designs. The Bumblebee is basically what I've thought of for a good G1/Movie/Prime BB design while retaining that roof chest. I'm a bit disappointed that the series is going to have very simplistic figures (if the Grimlock is anything to go by), but this is for the kids and us older fans have got Generations that are more slavishly G1 in most cases.

The art design is starting to grow on me. If I'm correct in thinking that they're the designs for Cyberverse, then I personally hope that they retain Bumblebee's design. It seems to be a combination of Bumblebee's designs for Generation One and the Movie franchise.

If I saw this at a discounter (where they all end up), MAYBE?

But who is this intended for? Kids don't really know these G1 characters, so I assume the parents are buying this... for their kids? Because I've gone that route: kids don't care if they aren't into the requisite media. You can't just pick this up and get kids excited about TFs! Especially when the signature, iconic feature (i.e. TRANSFORMATION) is completely removed from the product! :/

In the end, I guess it's a cheap licensing deal and doesn't hurt anything. :sly:  But you know what might be better? A cool, post G1 story that was original, rather than the likely character summaries this book will contain! :banghead:  Anyone remember those Read-Along books with tapes? That would be fun, too! Read-Along's are much more exciting to kids than books with figurines... (Ironically, the inclusion of these toys might be a detriment to the book's sales potential! Because kids are naturally excited about reading, so they don't really need free figurines to distract them from the main purpose of... buying books).

Iam almost 100% sure that grimlock is a legion figure. Especially because of the instructions on the back of the box

I mean either he is an amazing Legion figure with that joints, or an everage Legend, bigger than that is bad with this design.
