I've got Megs in a wide stance to bring his height more to where I think it should be to go with my G1 crew here:

I've had DX9's Sonic Wizard on PO for months. Just waiting on him to be released, then I'll be adding IF's Bruticus in October.

I'm gonna need a bigger shelf.

 

I just got these guys, and I already have both Megatron builda robot kit, and I have some of the pieces to build the clear Optimus Prime. But I have to sub these guys paint wise are pretty good, and after messing with Optimus, I am looking forward to the clear one.   Hey are just cool little guys to fiddle with.

Oh also I saw this on another thread, that someone saw on facebook, so I thought I would see what it looked like to me. So here is a couple of extra pics with Optimus and the little Hybrid trailer.

To me it works pretty good except for the truck being to high, so the trailer sits at an angle. Also just to note.....the trailer is just resting on the truck, I can't get it to connect at all.

 

How come I can only find megatron as a single figure? Anyone know where I can buy prime? I don't really care for megs.

 

Unfortunately right now the only way to get Prime is get the two pack with Megs or if you like the Transformmission IDW Stunticons the parts for a clear version comes with them. That way you can build your own clear Prime.

 

Thanks for the info. I'm just building an army of g1 primes in as many sizes I can find. Guess I'll wait.

 

No prob, if their past track record shows anything, then I think they will eventually sell the Prime separately. Since they did that for their Megs.

Megs has been out for ages, just not in metallic paint.

This OP's pretty incredible. I think I'd buy the set and sell off old buckethead before I'd wait to catch a lone Prime on eBay.

 

I just got mine into alt mode. This Megatron is actually my first... his transformation is a bit crazy (to be expected) but it all works fine and man is he nice in gun mode. I keep picking him up just to pew pew things. Even though he's too small to point properly and the pegs on the grip (for GT's Gravity Builder?) make it a tad uncomfortable to hold. He's just so cool.

The Prime is nice, it was interesting to see another slightly different transformation scheme. But the Megs really made this worth it for me. He's a bit bulky in the shoulders and small in the head in robot mode, but that's fine by me, some tradeoffs have to be made in this scale.

Also, kind of funny how they're the same size in robot mode but Megs is massively larger than the Prime truck. Partly due to the scope and suppressor, but still.

 

Aaargh. Somebody needs to get on figuring out an attachment and blowing the trailer up by about 5%... or figuring out how to put the Hybrid Style legs on GT-5's body....

You're making it hard not to buy this set. OP looks like he scales well with the DX9 stuff and I doubt they'll put one out anytime soon. If he was available as a single I'd be all over it.

I personally want generation toys to make a lot more model kits of transformers. It's the one thing i wished you could get. I am a amature model builder ( gundam kits) So when i saw the megatron kit i was like ok looks good but it probably be a posable figure but then i found out it transformed and i was like so happy. A friend found a copy of the megatron and bought it for my birthday in August. Unfortunately i didn't get him and thought nothing more about it. Then a few weeks went past and my friends started talking about transformers. My friend told me he received a email about the figure saying it was lost in the post. So he went to the seller and found no help from them and the figure tripled in price. The two pack is nice but both of them are already built and painted which Defeats the purpose of the kits in my opinion.

 

FYI, Baba has this set at a pretty unbelievable price right now. US $38.88 for the set. I ordered mine today. He's got 3 left.
