I read somewhere they don't have 5mm hand ports, what size are they then 4mm? 3mm?

 

Roughly 3mm, at best.

does anyone have a fix for him being wobbly as hell in fact he needs to lean on things to stand

 

Use the wings as a counterbalance. They have enough weight and enough length to throw him off balance, backwards, so push him slightly forward and let the wings do the rest of the work.

 

Maybe this will help? I don't have a set yet but this is a common issue of loose knees (and hips) with Razorclaw...not sure if it's transferring over into combined mode or if this fix is for another issue all together - EDIT: This second video might be more it. Watch both anyhow. Simple fixes.

If BBTS ever gets theirs in I might get my set and do these myself:

 

Anyobe need the 5 individual swords for the UT War Lord? I purchased them for a project, but realized they don't fit what I'm after.

Yeah still waiting for mine from BBTS as well. Not sure what the deal is really. I suppose I could call but I'm sure the answer is "We just don't know when these are coming in"

 

Ares & Warlord both have issues I'm not sure which one i'd even recommend to someone they are both not exactly fun as such - they are the sort of toys your scared to touch in case they break. that said the Unique toys ones do go pretty well with classics as individual robots. They are just pretty fragile and made of quite brittle plastic. The TFC ones were loose all over the place and not always fun to transform.

I think I "Just" prefer the Unique toys ones due to looking more like the G1 toys and being reasonably simple - the combined mode is quite handsome too. The Unique toys one stand much better if you miss-transform the legs - but you do loose all movement in them - but he looks better standing on the shelf in that wider hip stance. I guess the Unique toys one is idea to go with Giant, M3 and Quantron too.

But I like TFC's one with Hades and such... but he does look like he needs some sort of upgrade kit for some things.

Both of them are really cheap now too.

But he does look better with the legs mistransformed.

 

Yes they tend to snap on people in a few places. the wings the horns on he rhino the hips skirts then hands.
They are pretty fragile. floppy too in spots.

I'm not knocking them - I like them a lot ; I'd just suggest that people don't throw them around like a Hasbro toy or give them to their 6 year old to play with... That said there is some KO of these (with yellow weapons) I don't know anyone who ever bought them though so I would be interested to know what they are like in hand.

I'd have thought one of the chinese reviewers might have got some at least.

 

Okay. Sorry if that happened to you. Just didn't want someone with intrest to get discouraged cause i like them a lot myself, but it's been a while since i played with them.

Were there changes made to any of the figures or is it a straight reissue? I've been seeing people waiting for this and was really hoping it meant I might be able to sell mine to someone but so far no one seems interested.

 

Straight reissue. They've done no modifications to the molds or the design.
