I really wanted some dazzling glory guns, but they were sold out by the time I figured out about them. I don't like the stag cleavers much though. Sixshot and Greatshot seem more like katana dudes to me. I gave one of Greatshot's cleavers to DX-9 Terror.

 

I received the Eness Katana set today. These. Are. AWESOME! The box alone is already fantastic. And the metal swords are beautiful, with very sharp etched markings, and that displaystand. WOW! Now I just need to make a full weapon display. I already had two katanas from Shapeways, but those will now go in the spare parts box.

I also received the SXS weapons for TF: Prime Skyquake and Dreadwing. As well as the first two of many other weapons I got from Shapeways. Once the rest comes in I'll post some photo's of his complete arsenal.

 

I am catching up too, and I am torn about Hexatron. With the new TR Sixshot shown, I just don't know. I think the only version that is still available at retail is the Terminus version. Is this a good version? I see a lot of talk and love given to the Continuum version.

If your budget's not too tight, I'd suggest going MMC over Hasbro.

As to which one, it will ultimately depend on the price and your preferred look. In my opinion, continuum appears to have the better overall appearance, especially on the shortened chest wings and added paint apps.

.... But the original hex has a lot more accessories than continuum. And that makes me lean more towards the original.

If you go for the continuum, i suggest you also purchase the stag cleavers.

 

Terminus is a great high quality figure. I have one and he's been my CHUG Sixshot for a couple years now. Yeah, Continuum is a little better looking...but we're talking only a few degrees of better between the two. You really won't be disappointed...one of the few times I believe the third party figure was worth the extra cost.

That said, Hasbro's is a dead ringer for G1 Sixshot in updated form (minus the Headmaster element, which can probably be ignored in most ways). And he'll be less than half the price of Terminus. However, the plastic quality may actually be worse on the Hasbro version...that's seriously how good the MMC version is.

 

So I went for the Grandus Hexatron because I used to own Great Shot, and really loved his styling.

I was not prepared for the awesomeness contained inside that slick Continuum box. HOLY crap this has to be one of the best 3rd party Transformers ever. The paint is just SICK!! Super high quality paint on most of the figure. Poseability is great. The only thing I wish his chest label was gold Chrome like the original G1 figure. Still looks really really nice though.

So after three hours of playing around with him, I HAD to look into getting the sixshot Hexatron. I really wanted the Continuum Hexatron but he is sold out everywhere. Found one with a broken chrome gun handle for cheap and decided to snatch it up. But I REALLY wanted the swords from the original Hexatron, so thanks to this wonderful thread, I bought the Eness Metal Swords, and I can't wait to get these in.


Still on the fence as to whether or not I want to get the Stag Cleavers for Hexatron (feel weird calling him Hexatron as the Great Shot version is called Hexatron "Grandus Hexatron" but still Hexatron as well).

 

I came up with a railgun artilary mode. Looks sick, imo. Any other original fan alts?

 

The stag cleavers look sick. If sixshot ever wanted a big, bad weapon that suits his reputation, these cleavers would be it!

 

I bought this guy about one damn day before dx9'z hanzo was announced and I was pretty pissed about that... until I got him today. I'm still getting hanzo, because he's a totally different monster... but man, hexatron looks great with some Titans Return 'cons  

 

Finally finished Hexatrons(Sixshot) labels.
I used the ReproLabels set and the Eness set.
Combined they make a pretty damned BAD-ASS Sixshot!

 

So, which versions of Hexatron have a removable helmet?

Necropost: OMG. This guy is amazing. I have just started to play with the one I scored via Facebook (hundred bucks!), but I'm loving his presence, his sculpt, and love the little touches like the helmet & the shuriken-wheels.

I have the Continuum version, and I still quite like him, even though the mold's age is starting to show I've yet to see anyone outdo the figure enough for me to replace him.

 

I have all the versions from MMC plus all the Clonedroid versions (which have their differences). Oh and the KO all black one. I'm kind of a freak about the build and design of this figure. I might not even go with the Fan Toys version if it ever comes out.
MMC out did themselves with this.. but it isn't the first time or the last.

I'm selling my Hexatron (v1). He's 100% complete, 100% in condition, and comes with original box with instructions. Also have the limited edition chrome helmet and guns, along with a 100% in-tact and unapplied Reprolabels' Hexatron labels sheet. I have pics of him up in my S/T/W thread (link in sig below).
