Hasbro considers BotCon items to be "official."

But yes, I get what you're saying, and don't disagree.

    Point taken.

Okay, a semantically more explicit rephrasing
    :lol

"An official CHUG style easy and affordable to acquire new Reflector, that turns into a camera, definitely needs to happen soon." :lol

    :p

    YouTube (Legacy):
It could even have an audio chip in viewfinder that is activated by a prime master and says, "this is gonna be a piece of oil cake!" Or better yet, an LED flash in camera mode!

    Or...or not;)

If a new Reflector isn't released in Power of the Primes, it'll probably be released in one of the subsequent lines. Remember, Hasbro has plans for Generations through 2021. So have hope, ladies and gents.

I'm hopeful we'll eventually get Reflector because we got a new Perceptor with microscope mode and we also eventually got all three Insecticons. To me, these are examples of G1 characters that aren't vehicles or popular animals and they still got remade. So get with it HasTak! If you're too anxious about a camera alt-mode, then make Reflector a triple-changer (robot-camera-???)

HasTak is clearly motivated to remake everyone in G1. We finally got Brawn, Beachcomber and Seaspray! We even got a new Ramhorn and Overkill! We're getting new Dinobots! I'm optimistic. :)  (Please don't forget about Slugfest, Steeljaw, Apeface, Snapdragon and the Autobot Targetmasters too...)

No mention. It's all speculation so far.

However, I zoomed into the high rez stand alone photos and I think it would be pretty damn difficult to paint those engine blocks teal, in a neat manner while not smudging
the edges of the chest 'holes'. That leads me to think these faux engine parts were - at the very least during production & assembly - seperate parts.
For the rest it remains guess work.

They could be glued in, like the covers on Fort Max, but they might also be covers. So that you can cover the wholes, or take them out and put Titan Masters or Prime Masters in it. It would be genius if they were really covers and they could still fit in if a Titan Master is inserted. But I guess that's probably a lot of wishful thinking. By the way: Does the member of the same name get an alert everytime we use that phrase? :D

They're definitely separate parts. Whether they're glued in or not remains to be seen.

If they are glued in, we wait for the brave one who sacrifices his Overlord in the attempt of taking them out and in the end hopefully giving us advice how to not ruin our Overlords :D

I really prefer the color and the fake engines of this Overlord, but the stupid hollow side of the chest doors is what's making me choose the Hasbro version at this time.
Blitzwing I'm going to spring for the TT version, as I really don't like the head on the Hasbro version, and I do prefer this color scheme - at the risk of looking a little too bland.

I still can't belive I will really have Overlord soon. I once bought the Kabaya kit Overlord, sadly I never came around to unbox and assemble him. I thought I would never get an Overlord, so I bought the Kabaya kit for my Legends display, to have at least there an Overlord. Hm. Maybe I will see Kabaya Overlord then. I dunno yet.
