Vangelus, The crash Combiner you were thinking of is Shockwave and Warnado who mecone Shocknado. I only know that because I got it for Sharknado and it looked okay. But at $15, not worth it at all. And that's the reason I haven't gotten Menaspr yet.
Vangelus, did you ever watch Jetman? If you're looking for a team riddled with issues and anxieties (except for blue), there's not a much better place to go. Plus, Keita Amemiya did the monster designs.
For the red ranger name SteeleToe New autobots are surprised when he doesn't turn into a tow-truck because they don't get the concept of wearing shoes, only annoying him further to have to explain it to them.
The listener question about buying toys to repaint is interesting. With my collecting style (1 of each character across the transformers mulitverse, trying to do no more than one of each mold) I've reached a point recently where I've been skipping popular character releases as new molds in the hopes that a lesser known repaint comes along for me to add to my collection. I already had a Jazz when RID2015 Jazz came out, and then I was bummed when I saw he got repainted as Stepper as I have the eHobby version of that character also. I ended up grabbing RID2015 Jazz expressly to repaint him as Kick-Over. I'm glad I did because I like that mold and repainting it into someone I don't have in my collection yet definitely improved my enjoyment. Titans Return has been great as I've been able to pick up a lot of characters as is, but I hope there are some more repaints down the road. Voyager Megatron in G2/Megastorm colors would be great, or I'd also be happy grabbing a voyager Blitzwing as Overcharge. I also hope we get a repaint/remold of the Hot Rod deluxe at some point, it looks cool but I already have Fansproject Defender as my Rodimus Prime, Calidus* as Captain Rod, and am planning on grabbing the POTP Unicrodimus Prime. And I am trying to figure out what I want to do with the Siege of Cybertron Magnus Prime, I'm thinking I'll eventually grab a perfect effect cab, repaint it as Magna Convoy and do the trailer to match? That'll be some work though...
It IS really bizarre how many Topspins ended up on the Pegs. It's not like a Wave 1 figure that they order way too many, or A Hotrod/ Twinferno that is not as exciting.
Random thought, what if Takara forgoed the extensive changes to overlord because there's an MP version in the works? Considering he'd only be a couple inches taller, and would have nearly the exact same color scheme and detailing, it at least seems plausible to me.
Burning Sentai Justiranger or Nekketsu Sentai Yuusharanger Regarding the listener question about getting a figure specifically for a custom. I've totally done that with Breakaway. I've gotten two, for the express purpose of being repainted into Autotroopers.
Well, Mr Rexidus, I did the whole 15(isH) minute challenge and drew up the Justicegers! I admit - I was real rusty at using my tablet when I did Softball, but when I got back to it for the other two, I felt 'back in the swing' of things and it came together a lot easier ^^;;; I don't know when I'll be able to sit down to sketch the combined form but hopefully I do soon ^_^
Okay, controversial opinion time: I know that "-ger" is the current trend for Sentai teams, but I like some of the older suffixes more. In this case, in particular, I like the sound of "Justiceman" more than "Justiceger."
Oh man guys. I love these characters you're making. I really want to ask another one but I'll let it simmer for a little. I don't want to beat a dead horse. I was so looking forward to this answer that I didn't even listen to the entire episode. I skipped strait to it, hehe. This was gold and I loved it. Thanks guys! God those are awesome! I love that I keep feeding you fodder and you keep making awesome AWESOME designs. Out of curiosity do you take requests for your 15 minute challenges (like custom characters I've designed?) I pulled up this thread even before they were done talking just to see if you jumped in to do this and I was not disappointed! I am surprised the combined head isn't more Sentai-ish but maybe it is and I'm too ignorant.
I love the idea of Justiceman or Justicemen. Maybe even have Sky High be conscious or defensive about being the only woman on a team ending in ma/en. Those sketches are great! What if their combined weapon was the "Justice Hammer" they stole from TF Prime Beast Hunters Prowl? I was loving the Sentai creation part of the podcast. Good job making me laugh
Just had to pull this up from the dregs to show off the customs that Malwave made for us and handed over at TFCon.
