Wow... those decapitated heads... look creepy as heck!   Maybe the new Generations/Power-of-Primes toys will have better HM alt modes for his chest? I mean, other than the obvious Choujin Masterforce molds/characters, there\'s so much more potential here! Why not do a Cybertronian HEART??? Or maybe some creepy LUNGS?  

Other than that, I\'m surprised the new toy is so much smaller than the original!   I can say that... because most of us don\'t own the original... right?

Haha, first thing that came to my mind when putting heads in the chest.

Second was the "oh, I'm rather good at killing Primes" shot (where, naturally, Overlord is bragging to an Alternity)

I prefer this size, he scales well with Ginrai and the rest. He squares off nicely with God Ginrai, which is important to me.

I think it also works in the context of the line. Power up with Titan Masters... so naturally Overlord shoves a couple in his chest to get even more power (all the better to kill Megatron with)

The tank turret has a pair of slots that match the chest doors, though, so it's clearly intended to work that way. Works well enough for what it's meant to be.

It's a Gundam one I picked up a while back, sturdy enough but not for long term support. Has a bunch of attachments, so I can usually find a way to support a figure. I need to try the official one that came with Tracks sometime too.

I can just see Overlord scooching over to a victim... offer to "hug" them, only to decapitate and put into his pec slots.

That bit aside... I can see a Thunderwing retool being saved for Power of the Primes... main change from Sky Shadow would be to allow one slot in the chest to support a "Prime" master, or whatever they're calling it.

 

I wanna like this figure. But the boxy legs and feet aren't doin' it for me.

 

If you keep the back treads down and the toes lowered you get about an inch of height! Pretty stable too.

The sticker work is pretty damn garbage though, WAY more sticker over molded detail than im used to.. i dont think running over panel lines with an exacto knife into the stickers are gonna work this time

Also he needs a bigger gun fo sho. Gotta spend for some upgrade kit again le sigh.. hopefully its just a barrel that goes over the gun nozzle

Come on Hasbro! Where you at with the shipping! Octane, Blitzwing and Twin Twist were supposed to be shipped in july. I want to get them shipped with Overlord. I need shipping... shipping!

I have the Takara Overlord on PO but...I'm sorely tempted to pick up a Hasbro version as well since the Takara version won't be coming out for another several months.
