Maybe I'm being silly but PC-16 is starting to feel like old City Commander armor. It was something that got fans really excited and once it was released, lived up to the hype. It's good to see that type of magic hit fandom again.

Oh man that looks amazing!

 

He looks really cool and I know it's a nitpick but that ball joint really sticks out in cab mode.

 

The Hasbro head really makes this pop. Not sure if it's the brighter blue or actual wider head.

 

It seems kinda weird to say this since Takara's has a lot more effort put into it and is clearly the superior product...But overall I think I prefer how Hasbro's looks. Neither are my ideal PP, but thats what Fans Hobby is for.  

 

I didn't like the hasbro version at first. It grew on me. But it wasn't until I put the lg cab on it that I really accepted it as pmop. I love how boxy it is and I don't mind the arm panels anymore. I wish it had Takaras thigh tops though. I'm going to get some armfillers and repainted the red.

 

Yeah, I should specify that I prefer Hasbro's when has PC-16 attached. I did not like it that much with the stock cab and chest.

 

I kind of want PC-16 just for the little Prime. I don't have the classics anymore and the Combiner Wars Prime is garbage.

 

nothing wrong with that , it's pretty worth it . It's also the only white crotch op under $100 ATM. It sits well into a prime collection as a standalone

 

As long as everything is lined up it goes on no problem and holds as well as the stock cab. With that said I would prefer a more secure option and hopefully those stabilizer pieces in the next set work as good as I'm hoping because I don't trust the full combined form on the shelf.

I wouldn't mind seeing a joint upgrade kit to stiffen this big boy up.

These are what went into my Powermaster Optimus Prime. I guess technically it's a custom? All I know is that it looks amazing and stands well as a modern update to the Powermaster Prime I had as a kid. It's too bad that the Headmaster feature was forced onto this character, but I think I've finally got the one I wanted after all this time. The slightly smaller head from the PC-15 set really improves the robot's proportions, in my opinion. Love the LEDs too. Now I just have to get some extra batteries.

He really is one of the most delightful toys to come along in quite some time. So expressive!

 

LOL! this is exactly what I have done with mine. Its so comical how much I have spent on this figure with one more upgrade kit to go. lol
