Even though he doesnt look organic like the original BW design this still looks great and seeing how well PE did with Optimal Optimus, I can just imagine how amazing TM2 Megs will look especially in dragon mode! I hope the price isnt higher than PE Beast Gorira.

Also are they going show acurate or new take on original design?

 

They could do one 'regular' version and one 'Transmetal' version as an easy repaint, and include whichever version they didn't put with Megs in with a Cryotek repaint.
Also, I love that a sub-topic in this thread is about the inclusion of a small rubber ducky accessory for the base toy. 

I have to admit, I'd rather see more of an emphasis on the 'organic' dragon look. It was such a nice dragon design, and TM2 Meg's robot mode is sufficiently cool and imposing and just plain powerful-and-evil looking that it'd still look great either way. It'd benefit more from a more organic take than a more robotic take IMO. 

 

I'm hoping that they do a 2-pack of transforming rubber ducky minicons to face off against the Gorira mini 2-pack. That would be awesome and kind of a no-brainer.

 

All I can say after seeing the adjusted pick is...if the Cryotek repaint is a super-limited con exclusive, my head might explode. My OG Cryotek's hips disintegrated despite caring for the thing like it was a baby, it was almost like losing a favorite pet.

 

Looks beautiful, can't wait! I hope the dragon neck arm is sturdy and posable. Dont really care if they include that gimmick.

I miss my original TM2 Megs from when I was a kid, how much would one of those run nowadays anyways? Assuming a lot, especially sealed.

Maybe this could be a nice upgrade afterall.

Those Gundam-looking legs tell me they\'re gonna take even more atistic license with this guy than Beast Gorira, and they appear to have traded the Transmetal 2 Cyborg aesthetic for something purely mechanical. Still, if that fixes the proportions as compared to the original toy I\'m all for that. Just from the render he looks worthy of being Alpha and Omega, yeeesssss.

so basicly beast wars transmetal 2 megatron reimagined as a genobreaker essentially??? I would wager that his power levels are there and above quite comparable to one anyways folks. and he would look quite striking with the colorscheme as well I would wager

 

do be careful transforming that figure mold wsaie as the folding plates which form its crotch lower torso area are quite fragile with age at the folding joints to reposition the dragons legs for the legs in robot mode (they tend to crubmel quite easily where the steel pins insert into place at the hips crotch lower body sections.)

 

Yup! I still have mine! It doesn't matter much in either mode but uh, the plastic that holds the pins break very easily. That's why a figure like this is so important to me!
