    can i agree that he wears it well (like, it actually looks like Megatron, obviously) but still feel like the overwhelming "Blitzwing-y-ness" (plus already having Legends Leader and Henkei Megatrons) just leaves me uninterested

    I felt CW Megs was too big and gun mode Megatron is fun, and classic but a dumb idea used out of necessity back in G1.

    I would give anything just to get more updated transformable Brave figures, but alas Bandai seems content with only releasing toys based on the Gaogaigar designs.

    he also has a HFG connection port like prowl/deadend mold :)  deluxe jazz and legends cliffjumper was all I waited for, one down one to go, though I'm not very optimistic about cliff since that stupid BB repaint chase is red as well..

    we shouldn't forget Dinobots and abominus POTP will be crazy

    i was so lucky a year or so back and scored him and Stepper together off the boards for a nice discount on each.
    FYI: United Stepper is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Possibly the best deco'd modern figure i've ever seen, the gold paint is just fantastic.

    Takara may own the rights the designs but that's it, Bandai is the one who is under control of the IP and merchandising rights hence why most of the new brave figures tend to be produced under their lines.

    No, the Brave series were created by Takara and Sunrise, not Bandai.
    Bandai most likley made SOC GaoGaiGar under license from them.
