It basically either ratcheted or not ratcheted. It is a simple adjustment, usually, to stop the a ratchet from lunging. In the case of many universals outer thigh ratchets, just tighten to add enough friction between the ratchet notch. If that doesn't do it after tightening , cut the spring. Finally you could always remove the first notch or two.

I get some people don't outer thigh ratchets because of lunging to A stance. Some do like outer thigh ratcheted for the same reason any joint is ratcheted.
Many companies still do outer thigh ratchets with some very large indents. I example of this was DX9's Mightron and Tyrant.

I like the ratchet in. If one doesn't like it, it can modified easily. If the ratchet is left out, I can't add a ratchet.

Examples where lack of an outer thigh ratchet caused problems was DX9's Astrotrain and many of the Fan Toys Dinobots (Scoria etc) come to mind.
I hate lose joints.

Just got KFC Apeface and Snapdragon today. Love them. Has the metal plate been discussed? I am assuming it is meant to give the headmaster a magnetic platform to stand on.

Love my simba but had the issue with the gold chrome literally just wiping off his chest with my finger. I never did get replacements or help from kfc. They make some kickass looking figures and i DO love the ones I have, but better qc and responsiveness to customers would go a long way to making them a top tier company. Even chinese ebay sellers have better customer support, which is sad.

 

Try emailing them again, it might work.

Dx9 and badcube dont respond at all.

 

I decided to keep the original face for this guy. I grew used to it since I had no affliction to these guys when I was a kid. I think it looks meaner. The toon face is cool, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't put fear into autobots like the other.

It is a stand for the headmaster pilots, I believe. Magnets in their feet.

 

Opppps, sorry. I dont think its meant to be installed more than its just, if you have them in jet mode and want to display the heads by them type thing i guess

 

Oooh. Alright. Was hoping it slid in some place to give him more display options with the pilot on the body. If the tech spec door was diecast, would have been a great place for them to be able to stand with the magnets. The door hinge is strong enough to make a mini platform as is.

Really loving this figure, and glad to have the two head options.
