It's a shame there was absolutely no room in that case assortment for Arcee. A great figure to get women and girls into the line. They probably know that boys don't want to play with yucky, pink girl characters. Thankfully Hasbro is doing the brand's fans a solid by putting here out as a convention exclusive (and possibly some unknown other distribution) to make her super accessible to fans.

 

I'm sure those extra Hot Rod's will fly off the shelves since there won't be a new version of the character available in wave 1 of the PotP line.

 

Arcee will be accessible to collectors, etc... After the convention. Probably in regular non-convention packaging.

She may end up being the first offering of a new fan club.
Hence why they refer to the set as early access.
One source I saw said announcement is coming at Hascon.
Same source said that arcee & the ultra magnus titan master came from the apparently cancelled 'intellegence' box set.

 

Slugslinger looks so Generic to me. Guess it's because I've never had any attachment to the character.

Was he even in the Sunbow cartoon?

Yeah, it really would have been nice to have gotten the Horrorcons and maybe at least Frenzy and Eject in Wave 6. Two easy-as-hell repaints that I'm assuming would sell okay because they are classic characters, and not even a word on them yet. But if Slugslinger is the only new figure in the entire wave, then that really stinks.

 

At least it's THREE Slugslingers in there, but FFS Hasbro could have dropped the Hardhead and just thrown at least one more in. Slugslinger is still gonna be a bitch to find at retail even with 3 per case.

 

I think slugslinger will complete my Titans Return collection for good, so I can move on to POTP.

 

The real problem with Slugslinger and Arcee is they both seem to be "on their own" for general release whenever they do happen. They could've delayed one of the wave 5 deluxes, or cooked up a quick repaint to go with Slugslinger and it would've been a slightly more appealing case for retailers to order. We still don't know exactly how the "wide release" for Arcee will happen, maybe the Ultra Magnus TM could be dropped but they don't seem to be planning to change her deco. She would be fine at general retail, but she would go well with Slugslinger, and both will probably release at the same general time. Different distribution for two (basically) new toys that are both deluxe seems overly complicated.

Yep. The 3 part rebirth series, which end the US cartoon.

 

We're still getting our Walgreens Wreck-Gar, so that's something to look forward to.

I wouldn't be surprised if this wave had one new legends figure or something and Hasbro was being technical and only meant Slugs was the only deluxe.
