That Dragonstorm concept art that they used as a historical painting in the film is really cool looking. Dragonstorm really looks like a force of nature.
It's almost like these movies have a bunch of amazingly talented people working on them but then some cokehead frat boy comes in and fucks the wonder out of everything.
Just looked up Furio Tadeschi's other work. Amazing there's this rendition of darth Vader that is mind blowing.
The digital painting definitely looks cool on sidekick, but it's horribly bad when you look at the attention to consistency in detail. The edge of the chest section before the neck parts is clearly asymmetrical, and the way the neck mech details that flow into the body are super simplified on the far right side where he needed to show how those parts that are visible on the neck on the left should work on the right. That's kind of a hack job, so im afraid i gota say I've definitely seen better in the movie tf aesthetic.
