Are there any differences between first release and this EX release other than packaging?

He has some wonderful paint apps that really help him shine. This is a pretty worthy toy ultimately, even if he doesn't transform as strongly as I would like. I am glad to see people just getting in with Trypticon have another chance at the definitive Metroplex.

This looks great and the timing with Trypticon is pretty nice for fans of that rivalry. But as much as I like Metroplex, I adore Metrotitan. And $250 is so close to MT Dystopia! However, if this mold comes out in Metrotitan colors at roughly the same cost I will probably grab it instead.

Same with my mum, smaller bots and some mps are easy to hide cos she doesn't have a clue what they are but something 2 foot tall is hard to try and pass off by saying " i've had him ages hes just been in the shed" :D

Fyi i'm an 18 year old student thats why i live with my mum, im not a 40 year old basement dweller lol

I think if they'll ever do another one it won't come before Predaking, Scorponok, Omega supreme and maybe Unicron and Primus. So if you really want a Metroplex better take this chance.

He'll also have a pack-in manga in the instructions, like all the other LG toys.

Given the absolutely absurd aftermarket prices for the various Metroplii, I went ahead and pre-ordered.

If this was a Christmas release, I might think more about it - I have plenty of POTP characters to save up for :D  - but I can save up for Metroplex and add Christmas money to said savings. Springtime Autobot City FTW. :)

Man, I want two of these so bad for customs. One for a Metrotitan and another for, maybe, a Necrotitan? I don't know but I want the option. Too bad these are super expensive, I never saw any of those $80 Plex's in my area and eventually got a Takara one for like $225 shipped (super happy with him, for the price even).

Too bad Hasbro doesn't have a reissue line. They could sell them through HTS, online and specialty stores. I'd love to pick up a couple more 30th Gen Springers (want the Autobot clones out of the mould and even Rodimus).

I'm sure if it does it will be in Japanese. It sucks because I love the Fall of Cybertron lines the original had. Oh, well-beggars can't be choosers.

I believe the original Japanese release used the same voice chip as the English releases. I don't seem them changing it here unless Takara out of nowhere gets the original Japanese voice actor to come in and record some lines.

Unfortunately, recent financial shifts forced me to cancel my pre-order. :-|

Still, he looks really  . And I suppose I'd be more upset if I had Trypticon, and felt a need to have his opposite.

After I saw pictures of him with he DNA feet I want him even more. But it will be about 270 euro with the upgrade, a steep price for a mold that I technically already own. Difficult decisions...
