Well, many of those terms are not by any means exclusive to 4x4 vehicles. But yes, when in doubt just search for [theme of choice] terms.

I got one but now that it's here I'm not sure why I bought it, lol. Wait- I bought it because it looks awesome.   But I'm trying to stick to G1 characters so I may not be holding on to him...

 

Both of my ankles are worthless floppy messes. The ab-crunch on this figure is simply too loose. Due to the front bumper hardware, the middle part of the grill has to be pushed in, and the ab crunch doesn't have anything to prop up against and he constantly flops forwards (or backwards if I over compensate with this soft as butter hip ratchets).

I am going to try this, as it will help provide stability with this weak as hell Ab crunch "joint".

Do you have to dis-assemble the whole calf? It seems like the ankle tilt screw is blocked by the exhaust pipe on each foot.

 

I just picked mine up from TFN!
Still haven't transformed him yet as the alt mode is stunning!!

What a stunner!

 

Love the actual look of the toy in both modes, however, isn't without issues. I have tried a couple of times now, and can't get the backpack/pickup bed to lock in neatly in vehicle mode, just won't clip in to the other half of the truck bed. Loose left ankle tilt, if I tighten the screw it just loosens off again as soon as you move it a couple of times. Floppy hip crunch joint. Also on the left leg, the shin part that slides over was so stiff on mine, that on the second transformation I snapped one of the sliding parts attached to the shin, currently trying to figure out a way to file down the sliding piece or where it slides into so I don't have to use pliers to actually transform the thing. Rather surprised at this from a MMC piece.

Is this down to the extra paint on the figure messing up tolerances?

 

The ankle tilt is an easy enough fix. Tighten the screw about three degrees.

 

Mine from Planetsteelexpress had no loose ankles.

 

Which is fine, until you un-tlt the ankle and it undoes the screw again. Like I said.
