The recently announced set is just for the Autobot Clones only. Takara hasn't announced anything for the Decepticon Clones yet.

Never said they wouldn't, was just correcting the misinformation that Takara Tomy was releasing the clones as a four pack.

 

Was just thinking of people that bought the big box sets, spending hundreds of dollars extra, in order to get these guys. People have raged over smaller things haha.

 

I think they're a small minority since others who did buy the sets simply sold off what they didn't want (making back some of their money if not more) and hooking up fellow members with standalone figures. Others like me bought the sets and enjoyed all the figures for what they were and plan to keep them. The ragers are a small if vocal minority to me.

It's cool that Takara will release the Clones but I had no doubts that they would eventually, and I plan to pick them up too.

 

I was looking at the titans return autobot clones and comparing them to X2toys xt005 version of the clones. Aesthetic wise I'm leaning towards the X2toys versions but there is next to no info on them (in the middle of nowhere for work so can't watch youtube). Was there flaws that made people avoid them?

 

They were very floppy if i remember correct.
And had very finnicky transformations.
Also they are filled with die cast, so not really a great fit for a chug collection.

 

Ah, thanks! Yea i found a small thread on here that said the plastic was very thin/prone to stress marks as well. Looking at the photos there is some very thin parts around pins that I don't like. Takara take my monies!

 

they are nice but the transformation, it seems like FP Motormaster, too complicated and when you twist some parts not in the direction is was meant to, stress marks occur

I used youtube review to transform mine and still have stress marks

 

Damn, i suppose for the ~100 bucks to get them now it wouldn't be worth it.

The 5th date was likely when the distribution centers got them, not the in store date.
