Of everything I received this weekend, this is just the most impressive. The paint and finish is just plain fantastic. If PE makes a TM2 Megatron and it's this quality, it would be simply amazing. 20170723_2258172.jpg

    Awesome comparison shots @Zi Shan

I haven't had a chance to transform mine yet, but I am wondering if I should now sell my old Optimal Optimus. This guy is better in pretty much every way.

The old one is shinier! And of course more show accurate. 20170725_200122.jpg
However, I'm glad that Perfect Effects did a creative take on it with Gorira. Doesn't look as silly as the original. Very much heroic... UP UP AND AWAY!

I hope that if/when PE makes a TM2 Megatron that they take some inspiration from the original concept art. [IMG]
Particularly that 3rd mode. Which looks a lot more badass than the final product. The straight, streamlined appearance really makes him look like a dragon jet rather than the droopy dragon dragster that we got.

While I agree with you on the vehicle mode, I hope that they go with the Screen style chest. Then mono boob was never a good look.

They can definitely do both. They did pull from different sources when they did Gorira.

I found a crack on one of the hinges on my copy after a few months of owning this guy. I've only transformed him once to each mode too. :wtf:  No more PE products for me.

It's alright as long as I just leave him in robot mode he'll be fine. :redface2:  Thankfully that's his best mode.

Plus, it's great value, for the size that it is.

Yes it wouldn't work well if both sides were cracked but for one side you can use it to sure up the seal so it doesn't crack more. I also use it to fill in gaps when I'm painting figures. If it's thick enough you can even sand it.

Used it to fill in the gaps on this oversized arcee

Yeah thats why I said it wouldn't work if the peg had been cut all the way through. That's also on Tesla leg which has a lot of weight on the joint as Ft has heavy metal parts. It only works well on joints that aren't cut all the way through and that don't have to support heavy weight by themselves. As I said it keeps it from breaking further. Though I have been using the walgreens off brand which is a little more flexible than 5 second, but basically the same product.

Love his Beast mode. Look at those eyes. Come on Perfect Effects do all the transmetals especially Dragon Megatron! The original looks puney... 20170805_162629.jpg 20170805_162606.jpg

Yes please!! Dragon Megs, then work on other Transmetals, Fuzors etc. Work their way back through the show starting at Season 3 - if PE get a decent pace going they'll be able to knock off all the Season 2 and 3 figures, before Takara even finishes Season 1! This is like Toyworld and Combiners all over again - PE have a head-start into an untapped niche that no-one else is looking at yet. Do it well enough and they can lock it down the way MMC has with the IDW stuff. Move too slowly or screw up your designs and releases and you'll lose your chance like Toyworld.
It's actually a bit of a shame as I don't feel PE have the resources or capacity to move quickly enough for this. If it was XTB or FT, they'd have three or four more characters already shown as renders or prototypes.
