I know the handoff is normal. What seems abnormal to me is that the shipping label on the box only has usps info on i5 and not the original fedex tracking number

So what's the issue??? Was the item inside tampered with, damaged or stolen? If it was properly delivered with contents intact and not altered in any way, what's the issue?

Contact TRU, and tell them about it. Or simply go to a TRU store and tell them about it. You;re just wasting time with the shipping label thing. That doesn't matter as the item is not normally insured thru either USPS or FedEx. You won't get any money out of them. It's a matter between you and TRU.

If your actually Optimus Prime MP is damaged, then TRU should make good on it. If just the MP package was dented up, good luck with that as it seems like EVERY MP-10 box was drop-kicked by lovely TRU employees. I got mine from their brick and mortar store. They had a few, and all of them were dented up. I posted pics in the other MP-10 Hasbro thread. I just picked the one with the least amount of damage. The MP toy itself seems to be just fine. So don't be surprised if the warehouse that processed your order threw in a messed up MP-10 Box (or even a damaged Prime in the box as well) and shipped it off to you. Buying from TRU.com is a huge gamble. The last item I bought from them was TF RID Deluxe Skywarp (2017 current series). The morons folded the card back in half and smashed the bubble just so they could fit it into a smaller box. They're idiots.

Honestly, if you're not happy with it, just return it, regardless if something shady happened during shipment. I'm not sure why it makes a difference if someone was trying to cover something up if the end result is you don't want what you received.

Mine was delivered via FedEx SmartPost, i.e. USPS. I see the same tracking number on the label as what was e-mailed to me from TRU when it shipped. There are a bunch of other numbers and stuff on the label that I'm not going to try to decipher. If your label doesn't have ANY sign of your e-mailed tracking number, then I can see how you're getting concerned. But if one of those other numbers match what you have...

Anyway, I still stand by what I said at the beginning. It just seems you're not happy with what you received, regardless of the circumstance. Just return it. Hope my info helps.

    ----------------------------------

I went to pick up the other one I ordered via store pickup and they tried to give me the crappiest one they had. Before picking it up, I went to the shelf and saw that they had 4 in stock. All 4 were in various states of damage but it turned out that the one they tried to give me was by far the worst. I asked to exchange for one of the others and they let me. I think the one I chose is probably still worse than the one I got in the mail so unfortunately, I'll have to accept the dented one I originally got from TRU.com.

That makes a total of 6 of them I've seen across 2 stores and all of them had various states of damage on the box. Someone said before that they feel this is the cheapest cardboard they've used yet on any of the MPs and I tend to agree. Picking through the damaged ones at the store, they were bending just by me holding them. Granted, they were already structurally compromised, but still. This is ridiculous for a $160 item.
