Definitely increase the height a few tics to match with the other FP/MT combiners. I do like the idea of a more articulated set of hands and drills would be cool as well. Maybe even a chainsaw like the kotobukiya one I gave to Giant.

Could you share a link to those thigh stilts? Sounds interesting.

Absolutely agree. The connectors are solid as any of the others used on other combiners. 3rd party or official. Just go checkout that shake test video. It's still amazing to watch!

I wasn't saying they weren't solid, but the designer developed better solutions in his later releases and the impact Giant's connectors have on the arm bots is less than ideal.

More articulate hands would be nice, as would the drill weapons.

I'm one of those that believes taller doesn't = better looking. I'm fine with Giant's height. I'd kill for a chainsaw weapon like the one you used on yours. That thing looks hella-rad (btw, good to see you posting again, TFao :thumb )

Thanks, dude! Good to be back. And you should totally grab one of those chainsaws! I think they're going for $13 on eBay.

Also, I completely agree with keeping Giant in CHUG scale, but I think he is ever so slightly smaller than Quantron, Guardia and FP Intimidator. Even the newly bulked up (and height boosted) FP Colossus is now taller than Giant, by a fingernail or two. So I don't think he needs platform shoes, per say. But I do think he could use some thick insoles.

I bought Giant last year at that price and think he's definitely worth it. The figure I got is rock solid. He has a lot of articulation and is just fun to mess with. Highly recommended.

Sorry, I have forgotten my post history. Are we talking the official or KO version here?

I was referring to the official. I don't know what the quality of the KO is like but the official is pretty cheap now.

Not BBTS but you should be able to find a used one on eBay, the junkion exchange, or Facebook groups.

Wow, that really bumps his height up a lot! Probably a little more than I'd like, though.

I was thinking of an insert that would fit in between Hook and Longhaul to boost him just a bit taller to look eye to eye with the other MT/FP combiners. Not sure how that would affect his already less-than-svelt looking torso...

But thanks a bunch for sharing those pics!

Picked up mine at the TFSource sale. I'm pretty impressed with him. Happy to have a G2 version finally.

Anyone have any tips on getting good hip articulation in combined mode? It feels like you can't move the thighs forward at all unless you want the hips to hinge open which looks not so hot.

He's got this, for lack of a better term "pop out crotch" in the front that pops out and lets him move alot more. It's in the manual but doesnt really explain what it's for. All I know is it's a bitch to get it to open, it like its held in really tight with friction but if you pull it out it will let him move his legs into better poses. I never messed with it because I'm a "A" stance kind of guy :D

Yup. In Tfao's pics above, you can see where the part separates.

And boomerdave is all too right about how painful it is to get that part popped outward. Luckily it's a solid figure that can take a little abuse.
