A look she had for, like, three episodes. The T30 figure is still the (IMO) best Arcee figure to date. For future reference, I prefer The Headmasters over The Rebirth for the backstory/origin of the headmasters. So I have no attachment to a headmaster Arcee. :/
definitely , no question about that. I would love for that mold to be remolded for a headmaster as I would like a headmaster arcee, but this is a definite NOT INTERESTED version. had it been some other fembot maybe but for Arcee, NOPE, the head is too IDW too
Classics and all of that isn't about reproducing an 80s design picture perfectly Besides, its still closer than the one that turned into a spider
Well i'm glad Classics so frequently went against what it's about these last years and gave us very faithfull reproductions of The Headmasters and several combiner characters and others.
as am I. I have been buying several sets of each so I can give them to my kids and their kids one day too
Hmmm on the one hand it references the ggoaspect but on the other hand she looks...well...not arcee enough ya know?
Ya I'm no fan of Psychocee either, and the headsculpt is, IMO, kinda ugly. Um, maybe the 2006 era of Classics wasn't about doing that, but ever since T30 figures have been increasingly more G1 accurate. Which is, as I said before, why this Arcee does nothing for me, she's a step backwards from the 'toon accurate T30 figure.
This is true. Given the oversized KO being made for MP scale and that T30 mold is hard to beat as the Sunbow Arcee (about the only way it can be improved would be if someone found a way of magically compressing her back kibble...), I'm going to hunt the Titan Master one as my IDW one. Not like I can expect toy makers lining up to make her IDW Griffith's design figure, lol.
I am pretty unsatisfied with both this and the T30. I'm hoping a 3P makes a decent IDW Arcee at some point. I have MMC's but transforming it sucks.
I've been thinking about TR Headmaster Arcee & T30 Arcee. Because both are really great toys, how lucky are we now that choosing between 2 awesome Arcee toys is a "problem" when for years we never thought we'd get an Arcee toy and can't bring ourselves to own that ugly spider Arcee. I realize the reason I prefer T30 Arcee is because of the lower legs, that slim tapered profile is a much stronger representation of the animation model than the TR Headmaster Arcee, who has big boots. But the reason I like TR Headmaster Arcee is Headmaster Daniel. I'm been toying with this display idea: Keep T30 Arcee in my TFTM movie cast shelf Include Headmaster Daniel in this display, and he can ride inside Wheelie As for TR Arcee's body, she'll be perfect for me to make an Elita-1 toy if the POTP Voyager Elita-1's head will fit a deluxe body. I'll just need to glue a spare titanmaster mini-head to it. The Elita-1 body can just stay in combined in torso mode. Oh, and Titanmaster Ultra Magnus goes into CW Ultra Magnus' chest, replacing Minimus Ambus. This may be my way to have both great Arcee toys. This is really the GOLDEN AGE OF TF COLLECTING! Never would I think I could be talking about TWO Arcee toys, Headmaster Daniel and Elita-1 in a single breath. And it is just AWESOME that we can enjoy fair prices and retail distribution for a hascon toy of such a top tier character!
Right? That's like saying Octane's original design doesn't matter because he was only in a handful of episodes.
From Hasbro Pulse.. Twice it says "this set", which means Arcee, Daniel, Magnus, and the guns. The whole set will be available later with a Hascon first release. That should debunk any people thinking it'll end up in a wave with Slugslinger or something.
For me, in a perfect world, it would be this head on the T30 body. Barring that, I'll take this figure over the other.
