Hm, don't know but after everyone was describing this as tighter and the best built of the three coneheads, I was expecting something better.

Overal, yes, he's tighter. But he's also too tight. When transforming him I caused a minor stress mark on the piece connecting the weapons to his arms because it's too tight. (And I had to use a tool to fold out the front landing gear.) The knees are still wobbly as hell, with a lot of side-to-side movement compared to the regular MP-11 mould, but that is to be expected considering there's one screw less to hold things together.

I can't help but feel that the plastic has gone down a notch. The plastic feels ... less consistent/watered down (by lack of a better description) compared to the previous releases (more like a mainline releases). Maybe it's the colour, but the blue plastic of my Hasbro Thundercracker also feels more solid and thicker than the plastic of Dirge.

Transforming him I had a very hard time getting the wings completed, and the part that ends up behing his shoulders in robotmode, didn't really want to sit flush.

But he's definitely the best looking of the three Coneheads. Really wish they all had used grey (instead of the black on Ramjet and the black/grey on Thrust). And although it would've hindered the altmode look, I kind of wish they had made the wings just a tad bit smaller. Especially on Thrust, but maybe also a bit on Ramjet and Dirge. Maybe it's because they painted the sliding part on his legs to which the wings are attached, but the wings look big. (Also bigger than they were in the animation model.)

But I still feel I've overpaid for this. It really isn't worth the asking price -- especially considering I got him together with the much better built and looking Fanstoys Grinder, who was cheaper at the same store I bought Dirge, and apparently only costs $ 100 in China (and that's the price Dirge should be).

I finally received my MP Dirge today, having ordered him through AE, who got their stock from Takara Tomy Mall directly, which was of course delayed for a month, and I had it shipped by SAL.
I have to say he's pretty nice. Not great by any means when compared to the newer Masterpieces, but good looking in both modes. Mine did have a glaring QC error, due to a pin on the back of his shoulder not having been shot through one of the two bars holding his altmode windbrake assembly. Luckily, I was able to remove the pin, feed it through the hole in the bar, and push it back in position.
I like the bot mode, but I love the alt mode more. Personally, I've never really been able to appreciate the original G1 Seeker figures (even though Thundercracker was my first Transformer), and I especially didn't like Ramjet or Dirge, due to their color and delta-wing designs. But this MP Dirge alt mode is superb; the wings and missiles look great together, and I love the colors. He also holds together pretty solidly. Together with Skywarp, Dirge will be on display in alt mode, while my MP Starscream and Thrust are in robot mode (I didn't bother getting TC and RJ!).

Got mine from AE. Terrible! My copies torso keeps coming up like Starscream when u pick up. Also the shoulder panel where the Gun pod attaches flops down easy. Any solutions?

I pre-ordered from Premium Collectables for the first time. Haven't gotten it yet, and looks like they don't have it in stock yet. Is it normal for them to get figures later than others?

Yep, who knows. I'm in the same boat. I'm a patient guy but I still don't know how long I'm going to give before I cancel my credit card payment. What's the consensus here, October or so? If I don't get a shipping notice by October 1st, then I'm cancelling. Or better yet, if Dirge becomes available elsewhere from a reputable overseas seller. Because with the QC issues he has (no surprise there), he'll probably become just as easy to obtain as the first two coneheads.

If you haven't already, you may want to read through this thread (particularly the last 20 pages or so): Premium Collectibles, Good Bad experiences?

A better question might be "has anyone gotten anything from PC?"

Sounds like a mess there, sorry to anyone having unpleasant dealings with them.

Man I was so tempted to PO my Dirge from them......but then read how they tend to ship out later. Paying a little more was worth it, not to get it a month or two later. Glad I didn't try to be cheap, I would have walked right in their poopfest.

Very nice! Glad to see you get your refund back from the cc regarding your PC purchase from Dirge. Let's hoping they don't redo the seekers any time soon for a good while, but if they do, please do not make them TTMall exclusives, I think that's what really made them expensive which seriously why did they make them exclusives? Anyways if you look at MP Starscream he was just under $100 USD which made buying that particular mold a lot easier to swallow IMO....

Haha as you can see by all these posts above in that thread ^, no one from here has gotten Dirge from PC....and a few people are starting to do charge backs as well, I'm one of them and have gotten my provisional credit from my CC company.

Yeah, I'm not really holding my breath at this point. Though still 'early' in terms of folks who actually have ordered and received items from PC in the past, I'm going to stick to my original timeline. But this has been no fun. I'm ok to wait till Christmas if I had to, but if they're this flaky and treat their customers in this way, it's something I'd rather not condone (even if they finally deliver).

Got my Dirge and I am happy :p

I might paint his missiles to black as there are too much boring grey on him. And he will look more G1 toy like.
