I love your set ups by the way! I don't usually display my mps in straight rigid positions, but on your case it just fits perfectly. It's inviting in the sense that it welcomes you to just pick up one and mess around with it. I find myself saying "nah, not gonna mess with it now, because he fits in and I don't want to try to get that pose out of me again" lol. Me just being lazy or lack of down time more like it :( .

    Anyway, nice room

Amazing how G1 toys look better than most of the crap you now find at TRU. We were spoiled back then.

I know what you mean about the posing... for some reason I prefer the "rigidity" for the museum-esque display I went with:

    IMG_8817.JPG

but it does give me reason to pull them down, pose for pics, etc :)

I know that's awesome. I wish I had a separate room for mine with a table or coffee table and couch to sit and mess with. Such a stress reliever for me to fiddle with these things after traveling or late nights unwinding during busy season with a cocktail. Really need to look into doing that with my tv room in the basement. Problem with that though is my current display cabinets are too tall at 86"

As I was moving displays around today in prep for a new cabinet, I finally got around to transforming this guy. I had a feeling jet mode would be my favorite mode, and this was confirmed. He went from a figure that was just this side of buyer's remorse, to a solid "glad I picked him up". The jet mode truly is impressive. Even back in the 80s this ship/jet always seemed "totally rad", even as I gave no damns about his ape mode.

It is a pretty cool jet mode, but I still regret picking up a figure who can't even hold his guns properly. My own fault for breaking my "No KFC after the Blaster debacle" rule, I suppose. I hope somebody else takes a crack at the Horrorcons and gets their coloring and, you know, basic action figure functionality correct.

@ibot I think it is safe to say that the hands not being able to hold the guns are a widespread problem at this point. Will their be a replacement hands/guns kit coming??

This is how to hold your gun , lol

Gun are plug in left arm alright but right arm is impossible.
First , I think tap is too big so I sand it down.
Now it can sit in slot but peg is too shot, it is too loosen and easily fall off.
If you see in a grip you can understand , a peg on left side is deeper than right side.

Get this guy 3 day a go and mess with him for awhile.

His biggest problem is gun connection , I think it is from design so may be 100% every body have problem.

Problem is from a grief, so silver or purple is not matter, IMO.
Other than that I think it is fun toy.

Head popup : No on mine
Gun can't peg : I think every one
Finger easily pop off : If you try to peg a gun in right hand, yes. other than that no problem in normal play.
Backpack fall off : You not fully transformation, It hard to explain but it have a little trick.
Gorilla finger break : I think space is more than enough, feel safety than I though.
Stability : Great. but if you try action pose , thigh swivel is a little too loosen. Leg and knee and overall static is very good.
Gorilla mode static : His gorilla leg are diecast, it is static fine enough.

    Like :
    - fun toy
    - Love the size
    - most of joint are very good
    - static is very good , very pose able

    Dislike :
    - gun not peg in hand
    - detail too flat, lack of panel lining especially his shoulder should have add some detial.
    - Head too big , and lack of tilt down.

Overall : Glad I buy him. love the size and playalibity.

Ok, so I happen to be in the "Guns don't peg into any hands" club with mine...

Also, did anyone else have one of the black ape-mode shoulder skirts pop off? His left one just broke mid transformation for me...

I recieved my Not Apeface, can't be more Happy! :D  love the high quality box and the use of styrofoam, like the old good days, pretty old school!

Also love the quality of the plastic, really miss the days when Takara and Hasbro main lines use similar plastic quality. Thanks Primus now we have other options, with 3P and KO companies, otherwise my hobby would have ended long ago.
